Look I think they’ve turned a corner and both Jays will be All NBA and will have their best statistical seasons but if they don’t stay healthy post KP returning it’s gonna be a tough road. Thing is we won’t really know til March given the KP return.

  2. TheJaylenBrownNote

Celtics went 21-4 and 10-2 in the playoffs without KP. Immediately a stupid point.

    Counterpoints :

They had zero practice time last year, with whole team upheaval just a week before the season. They get a year of experience playing together.

The Jay’s and White improve every year.

Tatum actually had a cold shooting playoffs and they won despite that.

They can play more loose now that they got over the hump and they have championship experience.

    Tillman and the rookies.

Only real issue is Tatum has had no real rest due to the Olympics.

With all due respect – look at the author of this article – he’s a 20 year old New York Knicks fan hahaha

I don’t think you can make an argument that the path will be easier. Sixers, Knicks, Bucks, and Heat will all be better this year, by a lot, if healthy. Big if sure. Don’t care though Celtics in 5

Health is the only thing that can stop us from repeating.

Other than that, no team has improved enough to overcome the 15 game buffer we had last year to win the conference.

  8. Forsaken_Flight6188

Everything in this article is just plain stupid The Celtics had a winning record in the playoffs without KP the Celtics would’ve beaten those teams even if they were at full strength

  9. linearheteropolymer

We’re gonna be a lot better, not only because our players will improve and benefit from playing together for longer, but because they finally have the pressure off of them. They’ve had this cloud over their heads for years because of bullshit media narratives and honestly a lot of hating ass fans, now that they’re finally freed up to just play I can’t wait to see how hard they ball.

  10. Casual_Covid

Will be ups and downs over the 82 game season. It’s really a formality because this team is going to be a top 4 seed near automatic. Success is getting to May in relative health and executing versus inferior teams. Nuggets only team that still scares me in a seven game series.

  11. Based on the headline and not reading the article: it’s really hard to repeat, the league will be adjusting to beat the Celtics. That said, the Celtics are the balls

For a duo that thrives off proving people wrong, you’re adding to the fire!!

  13. The easier path to victory is such BS.

Sure it was easier because of injuries. So was the Bucks in 2021. So was the Nuggets last year (and because the Heat weren’t actually good)

Celtics path was going to be easier no matter what because they were historically dominant.

So say we lose 4x more games in the playoffs next year. We beat the Magic 4-3 in the opening round. Go on to beat the Sixers 4-3 in the second round. The Knicks 4-3 in the ECF. The TWolves 4-3 in the Finals. Oh wow what do you know, we can lose TWELVE games in the playoffs and still win a championship. We literally steamrolled these playoffs. Lost 3 games. Maybe next year we’ll lose 10. Or 5. Or 8. Or 0. Who the fuck knows. But it’s not like we were at the brink of elimination on an “easy” run. We literally shit on the entire NBA all season long

  14. I think in the playoffs a lot of the “injuries” were worsened by the fact that they were playing us.

Like, If the Pacers or Cavs were the one seed and played like it their guys would have tried A LOT HARDER to play

  15. It’s funny that everyone here is acting like the author lied. You do know this is exactly the message that the front office, coaching, and players are going to tell each other as well right?

  16. Written by some 20 yr old Nova Knicks fan pretending to know anything about basketball.
