  1. Kings over the first the cap and about 6M from the first apron but just got DeRozan

Magic have cap but play franz and Paolo in basically the same position already

Lakers can make him the starting SF if he wins it in camp

  2. Bahamut727

Cavs will trade for him and us and the celtics will be the only teams without a free agent/trade made this off season

  3. “Lakers have interest” has been a killer too many times

  4. From what I’ve seen when lakers play against him, he’s got some moxie. He’d be a good fit for the bright lights of LA. Maybe he can maintain that 3pt %

  5. fartlapse

Nets have a backup big we could really use …

  6. bigbadbernard

Including the Lakers as a leverage play is used so often. We know the Lakers front office usually don’t leak this info

  7. No-Equipment-20

For the right package I like it. He isn’t going to push us over the edge or anything but a taller shooter is always a need

  8. LegendInMyMind

Why would we trade for Cam Johnson, when he’s basically a more expensive, slight upgrade over Rui Hachimura?

  9. Theoneandonlylog

It’s unlikely but it’d be nice if the Lakers could get cam Johnson and Sharpe from the nets and Bruce brown from the raptors. Would have to give up some combination of Dlo, Rui, Gabe, and JHS. Then sign tyus Jones for the tax payer mle to run back up pg. The Lakers have a more well rounded squad then before.

Fake news lol we don’t have 22m in trades or salaries. Trash reporting

The Lakers need two way players. Cameron Johnson is an elite 3 point shooter…solid defender at best…liability at worst depending on his matchup.

  12. Benotheking

Cam fits better than Rui on the Lakers but both are 4’s not really 3’s. Cam is a slight upgrade. Unless it’s for a few seconds, it doesn’t make sense.

  13. CabbageStockExchange

I’d rather focus on getting a center and an upgrade over Dlo or Gabe over doing this

    Per game:

Cam as a starter(47 games): 14.3 points and 4.5 rebounds on 11.2 field attempts 46% from the field 41% from 3 on 6.3 attempts.

Rui as a starter(39 games):15.4 points and 4.8 rebonds on 10.8 field goal attempts 57.5% from the field 43.9% from 3 on 3.6 attempts

Most of both guy’s shots are assisted

    Double Double’s:

    Rui:4

    Cam:1

    Per 100 possessions:

Cam as a starter: 21.3 points and 6.7 rebounds on 16.7 field goal attempts 46.1% fro the field 41.2% from 3 on 9.4 attempts

Rui as a starter: 24.1 points and 7.6 rebounds on 16.9 field goal attempts 57.5% fro the field 43.9% from 3 on 5.6 attempts

    Cam Johnson contract 23.6 million

    Rui contract 17 million

Rui is also two years younger.

Rui is bad defensively when asked to chase shooters but so is Cam.

Cam is better overall defensively though.

Still I would not trade Rui he too me has the higher offensive ceiling.

Why do y’all act like Rui is a bum after one bad playoff series?
