the people giving their opinions on the comparison probably haven't watched a full game of at least one of the two players
Banchero gets the not here. The reason he get his in the flow of a win.
Barnes get his, stats padding a tanking season.
The Magics wins because of Banchero and everyone plays better because of him.
I like the fact Banchero knows who he is. One day Scottie is a point guard, next month he is a small forward then summer time he is a PF.
Stop it. Paulo is not a good defensive player. Straight scorer and better than average rebounder. That's pretty much it but he is getting better. Scotty needs to increase his 1 on 1 bag to get the full nod

Scottie is a more exciting player . Joyful to watch scottie play except when he take a 3 pointer I tend to close my eyes and wish for the best. Lol . Paulo is nothing exciting . His finish is routine but he does stroke the 3 well.
Scottie is a Chameleon.
He won't disrupt any group of 4 he joins. And will elevate the offence, and elevates your defence.
Paolo isn't as seemless as a fit. Will demand more scoring opportunities. Disrupting the rest of the offence.
Your defence might be worse.
His defence was boosted by his teammates. Allowing him to spend more energy on offense.
If you swapped Scottie and Paolo right now, the magic are far better, and opening more scoring opportunities for others.
In my opinion, that would energize them even more on defence.
Bancero could be a legit #1 option on a contender. Scottie could be the best 2nd option/role player in NBA HISTORY.
With that being said, I'll take banchero. It's easier to find a elite role player than a #1 option
Barnes is literally a midrange jumper away from matching paolos offensive production Barnes is better in every other aspect of the game and is one of the best 2 way forwards in the league

Just because Scottie gets more asts doesnt make him the better playmaker. Paolo plays with a lot more playmakers. Paolo is the more complete player
