Absolutely not. This idea that Randle can’t fit is wild. He can be a Swiss Army knife with the current roster. Small ball stretch 5? Billy ball wing? Secondary creator to help Brunson? Rebounding to help fill the IHart gap? It’s not the team adjusting to him. He will adjust to the team around him.

They’re only 3 years apart and BI actually has a worse injury history than Randle. Apart from last year (and obviously his major rookie injury), Randle has had good availability while BI misses 15-20 games a year regularly.
On top of that—as a ball dominant midrange guy who can’t pass—his skillset is absolutely not what this Knicks team needs. He also has zero trade value as someone who has not proven to be a winner but puts up the stats of a max contract. That’s the most dangerous type of player to get stuck with.
