Yessir!!
I don't see it with josh giddy look like a basic europe player nothing special about em not worth the risk
Yep we all know as Bulls Fan Zach is only good when he is getting set up on good Shots Giddey will provide all that plus more I’m watching how him and Zach play together
Giddey can't score without the ball. It makes me nervous cuase he's a straight line driver. I can't see him attacking the basket off a Zo pass. Zo may be able to play off of Giddey, not sure about the other way around. Interesting suggestion, though, guys.
You know it's a long off season when we talking about Lonzo Ball as if he's actually gonna do something significant for the Chicago Bulls other than sit on the bench most of the time and pick up his check.
The Bulls fans need to have 21yo Giddey’s back . Remember Giddey will make others better with the ball in his hands. Bill Simmons is spot on and the Bulls won the trade and this is a buy low Grab
Giddy will play well but we still should've gotten a draft pick with him. The OKC have too many they could've given us 1 of those picks. Giddy wanted to be traded and hence we could've fleeced the OKC for more. I think AC had a solid trade market and we could've moved him elsewhere. So we had all the leverage to get more then just a player swop. Plus we have to now pay Giddy. So idk how we didn't get more.
I bet the fans will love Giddey more than Caruso
I'm in wait n see mode with Giddey. He's young so I expect his game to develop. There's a lot to like about his game, but he'll have to try harder on defense. Hopefully, his playing with Lonzo Ball will motivate Josh to become a better two-way player.
As for the trade, OKC made out like bandits by not adding draft picks to the deal. They're entering the 2025 draft with a top 4 protected picks from Houston, swap rights with the struggling LA Clippers, a lottery protected 1st rd pick with Miami, a top 8 protected pick from Philly, and a top 10 protected pick from Utah. I'm sure they'll be able to find a Josh Giddey replacement in a stacked draft class next summer, while the Bulls gamble on Giddey making an immediate impact and a big payday as he enters free agency.
I'm not getting too excited about Middy. If he were 6'3 instead of 6'8 he'd be just another little white dude who can pass and play make but not much more. A poor man's Steve Nash. He needs to develop and mature. Being played off the floor in Okc and doing well in international play does not impress. He's a "good enough" player right now. He's shown that in Okc. He has promise and NBA ability. A future in the league? Yes. But I'm not buying the hype. Idgaf about 16/7/7. Coby gave us 19/5/5 last season and was ready to give more. But AK took Coby's opportunity and gave it to Josh. Remember how hyped we were for Coby last season? Remember how we looked forward to seeing him this season running the point? See what a full season of hard work last and an off season of the same would bring him and the team? Well thats gone now. I don't like that. Josh has to EARN that respect from the Bulls, and Bulls fans. We ain't a vehicle to showcase his "talent." He is not special atm. He's a "maybe one day" guy and hyped on social media by his nationalistic stans. So far as the trade? Okc "won it" short term because Alex will def help them toward their goal of winning a title, and taking that next step as a mature, professional basketball team. He'll do 70% of what Giddey did for them offensively, and 150% more of EVERYTHING else. Thats playing overall winning basketball. Okc will never miss Josh. We wouldn't have missed him had we traded AC for a nice pick instead. He wouldn't even be on our radar. Bulls are gonna suck for a bit. Was the Josh trade "worth it" as constructed? "Player for player?" I'll let you know when we don't suck. But I know one thing. When Okc fans see what the Thunder are with the additions of Caruso and iHart they'll be saying "Josh? Josh who?" Won't be any regrets, zero.
in Australia we have a saying called a
'fair-go'josh has copped nothing but slander everyone exaggerates his deficits and does barely acknowledge his natural ability,
NBA records, what he did at
OKC, and what kind of player he is when he's left to play his natural game. There's definitely a cultural deficit between the NBA and the rest of the basketball world I wish you would all stop being so arrogant loosen up and watch Josh shine. i've been following the bulls since Cartwright, rodman, jordan etc we're on the court. this i s probably one of the most positive videos I've seen as far as commentary on Josh goes👍
I get it. The one thing that is still a thing is that SGA and Jalen Williams did a good job of finding their game with Giddey around. They outgrew him. That's not a huge knock that they launched before he found his complete game.
Jalen Williams is amazing with the ball in his hand coming up to court. SGA handles the ball. There's no reason for them to look ahead and pay Giddey. They made an adjustment with the ball handling style and it works for them.
Giddey can continue to round out his game in Chicago and we'll see.
Giddy has upside thus the trade has potential. however Giddy also has significant downside. he can’t defend or shoot. he can’t be a role player which means if he doesn’t workout as a primary he isn’t qualified to be a secondary. also, his contract is up. thus, AK should have gotten a pick as well for AC.
let’s says coby and pat need the ball in their hands. what does giddy do? he’s not a good spot up shooter. let’s say giddy walks. then what?
AK is really awful at making trades. he doesn’t think things through
It’s kind of hard to answer that since he hasn’t played for the Bulls yet. But as far as his talent there wasn’t much of a complaint behind his skills until he got benched in the playoffs. All I can say is I hope he’s going to be worth it
He definitely was ac stay hurt to much n plus ac 30yrs old we trying 2 go younger I’m not gonna lie bulls really didn’t played they self Josh n lonzo together gonna be nice tho
Actually , we are not missing like alex caruso’s defense , but we improve more in defense , look , pwill , jalen smith , javonte green , lonzo ball(if he’s healthy) matas buzelis , ayo dosunmo!! We have so many defenders on this roster
