Had to toss him to keep France in the game

Softest shit I ever seen. Some real 🐟🐠🐡 home cooking going on

  3. rccola4422

Continues to be a disastrous tournament for the FIBA ref supporters

  4. FultzShoulder

That is a regular foul in the NBA. FIBA soft.

Didn’t they let a Japanese judo player get choked out after the game was paused?

    great job.

These mfs really said “Nooooo you cant make Rudy take free throws you have to let him dunk’

  7. Delicious-Writing-92

He didn’t make what is called “a basketball play”. He clearly wasn’t defending but grabbed his arm to prevent Gobert from scoring.

There is no real room for interpretation here, since they went to the video replay system, it’s an unsportsmanlike foul according to the FIBA rulebook.

“FIBA is so much better than the NBA!”

  9. In the NBA it’s just a shooting foul but in FIBA it’s qualified as an “unsportsmanlike” foul. The refs said “he didn’t play the ball and excessive contact”.

    Don’t shoot the messenger pls

  10. well, it certainly wasn’t an aggressive or overly physical foul. but idk the fiba rules, it wasn’t really a play on the basketball, it was just an intentional foul by pulling down his arm. if that’s part of the rule then I guess it could make sense

  11. France is already marked 2-0 on my sports app and the game is still in overtime

  12. They decked my guy KD and that was called a common foul even though it was egregious AF pretty sure you don’t make a play on the ball by tackling with your shoulder. Compared to this call which ends in ejection is bonkers.

I thought that Rui’s first unsportsmanlike foul was terrible too.

  14. People wanted FIBA rules. This is the soft stuff you get.

Can’t even intentionally foul to prevent a dunk anymore.

This happened multiple times in the USA vs Serbia game. LeBron, Embiid, and several Serbia players should have some techs. Refs just picking and choosing when to use the rules

  16. TsarOfLove

Is everyone ITT blind? He doesn’t make any attempt on the ball and you can see him yank his arm down. That’s an obvious, textbook unsportsmanlike foul

  17. AngryPoop

Hold up – so you’re telling me THIS is a technical, but Micic playing bumper cars with Durant in the Serbia game wasn’t??? Rui is making a play on the ball. Micic just straight up ran into Durant full speed to stop the fast break.

  18. xX_WeedGang_Xx

These are the rules that people want in the NBA?

  19. Competitive_Wear_408

I mean he made no play on the ball of course its gonna be an unsportsmanlike foul

  20. mellon1986

Then there is the 4 point play at the end of 4th quarter. What a shame.

  21. internallylinked

Y’all can throw jokes in as much as you want, this is a very clear unsportsmanlike foul in FIBA competitions. He made a foul nowhere near his hand, and pulled him almost by the shoulder, meaning he didn’t even go for the ball, that is a clear unsportsmanlike foul and it being his second, he got ejected.

I am as anti-France and pro-underdog person as you get, but this is clear as a day.

  22. jbrunsonfan

Wow that is bullshit. Ejecting a player for that is straight up stupid. Ejecting the best player? Egregious. Shoutout Japan for the moral victory I guess

  23. Traveler_90

Then they call a foul on the 3 pointer with no contact at all.

  24. Rui should have done the money fingers gesture as he was walking. Gobert would have loved it.
