With the Kennard signing done, how should the rotation look next year? Here’s my first attempt at mapping it out.

I used the Hoops Geek rotation builder to try and map out what a realistic default rotation might look like for this season. Obviously, there are a ton of variables we can’t predict, but based on what we’ve seen from the guys so far, how would you sort things out?

You can load my draft and edit the rotations with this link – https://www.thehoopsgeek.com/basketball-rotation-app?code=Ej8gTdMpCg.

Top minutes distribution in mine: 32 for Ja, 30 for JJJ, 29 for Bane, 29 for Edey, 24 for GG, and 22 for Smart.

closing lineup at first will almost certainly be JJJ,BC,Smart,Bane,Ja

Edey might be there is some matchups

Personally, the LaRavia minutes are throwing me here. He’s likely not getting minutes in close games unless we are running 11 deep by my estimation. Also feel like Vince gets 1st quarter minutes for sure. I’d also expect the tandem of Clarke-Jaren to close over Edey, but we’ll see.

I think GG gets lots of time at PF and LaRavia is pure SF.

GG more of a threat to Clarke minutes than anyone else. But he may need another year of developing before he really forces the issue.

I would prefer LaRavia be starting SF, but I bet they go with Smart or Kennard.

I really like the color coded chart. But this not a Taylor Jenkins minutes breakdown. Jenkins plays 10 dudes, you have at least 11. Smart 100% starts. He’s too established in the league to come off the bench. He’s not ready for that role. And I really, really cannot see Jake starting. Vince would start before Jake. Take the Jake minutes out. Put smart where Jake is. Put bane where smart is. Maybe with a few minutes of rose on occasion. Clark will play more. GG won’t play much unless there’s an injury.
