This kid was putting people on posters and laughing like a serial killer. I can’t fathom how he made it to us in the draft. AKME takes chances on guys that don’t have polished offensive games yet, and I love that approach. It’s an amazing way to get value if you can figure out the jumper.
We watched Rose, Deng, Noah, Butler, and Jimmy develop excellent jumpers. (well maybe not quite excellent for Joakim, but damn did he improve over the years.)
The flip side of this coin is the times we drafted guys with “nba ready” offensive ability. McDermott, Snell, Portis, and Valentine come to mind.
