The Brooklyn Nets dipped deep into their pockets when they signed Nic Claxton to a four-year, $97 million contract this offseason. Some within league circles questioned the timing of the nine-figure deal, given that Brooklyn had just reset its timeline. However, the terms have since been released, and the contract is a win for the Nets

  1. Tonight was a chaotic rollercoaster 🎢 of a show 😮….

Again we started off the stream talking about how Claxton and Thomas csn approach this upcoming season and work on improving their games….

Next thing you know we get completely thrown off the track talking about Ben Simmons 😮???? 🙄….

Literally for almost an hour the same talking points about Ben Simmons that have been broken down in 20+ streams were put on repeat like a terrible album 😮😂…..

Again Cam Thomas and Nic Claxton get a lot more attention and constructive criticism because they are both being looked at as the main guys and core pieces of this rebuild and we should be able to properly dissect their weaknesses and strengths and formulate a template of goals on how they can improve on their weaknesses because both of them will likely have the biggest contracts on the team after next year 😲…..

But to utilize Ben Simmons as a shield 🛡️ or distraction to deflect off of their games is wild and unnecessary 🙄….

Ben Simmons is likely going to have no impact on this team's future or rebuild and we should focus on the talent that is actually going to be part of this new roster construction 😁…..

  2. Again BK no hard feelings about our supposed epic conflict tonight 😅…..

But I was ready to move on from this Ben Simmons "unnecessary repetitive dribble" and you wanted to keep going and I had to drop some stinging truths about him ….

Brooklyn is in a rebuild and realistically Ben shouldn't even be playing and should likely be kept home until Brooklyn can either buy him out or salary dump him to another team.

But if he tries to play in this season to recoup a fraction of his trade value and somehow gets hurt again it's just going to be a complete waste of time again dealing with that drama. Ben has 95% bad publicity and Brooklyn doesn't need that weight on their backs anymore and are ready to move forward with a huge EYE 👁️ on next year's historic draft 😁…..

The sooner this unnecessary Ben Simmons saga ends the better this show and the Brooklyn Nets team's future wil be 👍 😎….

  3. Again for those who say Claxton constantly gets only negative criticism on here:

Claxton has a good base of defensive intangibles such as being a solid shot blocker, getting a decent amount of rebounds, pass the ball into the corners, dunk the ball, run to the rim for a few iso layups, has worked on his free throws a bit and can average a high double double number or a decent ratio of points/rebounds….

However Claxton has so much room to grow outside of that box….😳

Can he add a jump shot? A three point shot? Even a bunny shot of some sort? Can Claxton get better as a ball handler and throw out some assists to become a better passer? Can Claxton improve at the 5 more against top centers with a more physical defensive mindset? Could Claxton potentially switch to power forward if his offensive game develops more? 🤔 🧐

Hopefully Claxton can answer some of these questions and truly grow his game to become a complete center in this league 😮🤔…..

  4. One of the things that Kevin Durant, James Harden, Kyrie Irving, Spencer Dinwiddie, and MiKal Bridges had in common is they let the Nets management know directly and indirectly that they didn't want to play for the Nets. They were traded away. They shouldn't get any negative criticism for not wanting to be a Net. The career of active NBA players are short and every player should be given the latitude to do what they feel is best to achieve their goals. Most veterans, especially all stars, don't want to finish their careers on rebuilding teams. Anyone that can't understand that has never had a job they wasn't happy with so they're unable to have empathy with those that have. The players the Nets signed, this summer, have something in common; Jalen Wilson, Trendon Watford, Keon Johnson, Ziaire Williams, Jaylen Martin, KJ Jones and Mark Armstrong. They want to play for the Nets. The players we acquired in trades this summer; Shake Milton and Bojan Bogdanovic I'll assume want to be Nets. One of the Nets goals should be to acquire players that want to be Nets.

  5. I think it's pure fantasy for Nets fans to think Joe Tsai/Sean Marks are going order Jordi to tank next season. If Simmons, Schroder, Claxton, DFS, and Cam Johnson are on the roster when next season begin, they will be the starters. If Bojan Bogdanovic is healthy, he'll be the first coming off the bench. All of these vets have something to prove and we could possibly see their best games. If that's the case, I think we'll make the playoffs. The culture we're trying to instill will dictate that every effort should be made to win games. I've always considered getting a top 5 or 10 draft pick important but it takes a lot more than a top draft pick that should get attention. Countless teams have gotten top draft picks but still had to struggle getting the other intangibles ironed out. Therefore tanking, just to increase our chances to get a top draft pick isn't a good strategy. We could always trade a multitude of our draft picks, that we have now, to target a higher draft pick if feasible.

  6. WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT'S NOT DONE OVERNIGHT? You know it's sad you guys want to be losers and not win a chip with so much at stake and why is Simmons still on the team?

  7. @BKNYHOOPS Honestly you can’t even get into the topic when guys like AP, Harlem join you asked about Claxton contract which was a good point cause you was asking about if the nets should move it in the future and get a better return or draft picks as well

Then guys changed the topic AP started it then Harlem started then the two of them kept going back n forth with you BK not letting you speak shit is highly disrespectful you can’t debate guys like this bro then Scott, Gary, Ice never got a chance to answer the topic of discussion that’s when John and DJ asked them about it so that they can give they opinions

then Harlem and AP got mad because they fan boys when literally Scott, Gary and Ice said they never got to answer the question shit is laughable at this point bro when scott, Gary, Ice tried to answer the question Harlem and AP cut them off completely to bash Ben Simmons again you have to mute them BK

  8. @Jonathanoscategui2678 tell BK to start muting ppl so when ppl join or when someone asks another person a question about something they can have a chance to answer because BK is just allowing AP and Harlem to cut people off and he’s allowing AP and Harlem to answer for other people when they never got asked a question why are they answering for other grown men bro?

  9. @BKNYHOOPS you have to mute people guys like AP especially he can’t keep answering for other people when they got asked something you have to be a host regardless just saying “One Mic” isn’t doing anything AP, Harlem keep disrespecting you and your allowing it but it’s your show I guess kinda boring when we try to listen to people answer a question then AP or Harlem Answers it for someone and cuts them off

Even Ice was saying in the background he couldn’t speak because of AP and Harlem those two are the problem 😂😂😂

  10. AP and Harlem really are the problems with the show if you really look at it nobody brought up Cam Thomas nobody brought up Ben Simmons or Claxtons basketball game until Ap and Harlem joined, the topic was about Claxton contract and the future of the team but then you let AP and Harlem join

Yo im convinced BK likes this drama shit ever stream you got some type of joy when it happens cause no way you keep allowing this if you didn’t actually like it 😂😂😂

  11. This episode was boring it was very good in the beginning calm talking nobody going overboard calling people out they name being a fan boy until Harlem and AP joined they definitely related two 40 year olds acting like children @BKNYHOOPS and you like this shit because why else do you let them on for? 😂😂😂

  12. @BKNYHOOPS I clicked the link but you didn’t let me on I think it was too many ppl today I tried to join last stream too

  13. @BKNYHOOPS Zaire Williams isn’t a good offensive player at all so many holes in his game it’s crazy nets fans was capping up here today bro trying to argue actual evidence and facts Zaire is bad offensively #WATCHTHEGAMES

  14. @BKNYHOOPS you got too many Fan boys joining lately you gotta stop bringing them on the show is boring with them on it 😂😂😂

  15. @Thedrizzykidplay you asked me this question on my other homie podcast about why I don’t show up over here as much

Been a fan of ball since I was 6 years old been playing since then still learning the game of ball so when I join I give my opinion never said once a person couldn’t improve cause currently I’m improving a certain part of my game too but you can’t debate ppl who are fan boys first and not a basketball analyst first then they insult you because you give a critique on something a player needs to work on not to say they can’t but one day they will it’s all about improvement I guess some nets fans want are players to be mediocre and have one good thing about they game

but I’m gonna keep watching John, BK, LM, Gary, put the work in over here on yah basketball takes yah keep it basketball which I enjoy and I see ppl in the chat enjoy listening to, respect my brother

    Hope that answers your question
