  1. I feel like he’s in his head for whatever reason … he just need one good game and he’ll build off of that

  2. Joel's peak can't be measured because he's not playing enough. His per game performance would put him in the conversations that swipa says, but he's never done it for a full season and certainly not in the playoffs so there's no evidence that he can sustain it. Whereas a player like David Robinson sustained it for a decade. Who knows how good David Robinson would be if he took off 30 games a season

  3. Look at the box score for every loss last season. If Murray played, he played like crap. Unfortunately, when Murray didn’t play, Jackson sucked. 😎

  4. We have to pray to somehow avoid Wolves and Thunder in playoffs if we want to advance with Murray.Ant/Daniels/Walker or Caruso/Dort will be too much for him at this point of his career

  5. To have emfroud backs is mind-blowing … Swipa tho … Is crazy… Smh… But go on .. love to hear defend emfloup 🤯🫣😉

  6. Why are you making excuses for Jamal? He is not worth the money he is getting paid. MPJ is not worth the money either! It is a HUGE mistake for the Nuggets if they give him all that money in a new max contract.

  7. The Nuggets have zero choice but to re-sign Jamal to the max contract and hope he gets better. They can't replace him, so there's no point in talking about how disappointing he is. He's been up and down. Last year he was injured in the playoffs and played like crap. Saying he needs to play better, is pointless. Jamal is just never going to be an all-NBA player no matter what people expect. It's frustrating but there's no point in complaining because it's not going to change.

  8. SWIPA I Love you but playing 30 games against bottom feeders in the east and then saying the numbers are historical is slightly silly. Give me 60 games, and don't avoid top teams, and then we can talk

  9. Lmao Matt makes zero sense and contradicts himself constantly.. he’s gonna say that you pretty much can’t count Embiids shooting because it’s a different era but then almost busts about Robinsons blocks as if that also wasn’t a product of the era..

  10. The good news is Malone loves Murray's game and I am confident he will continue to give him all the minutes and scheme all the shots he needs to be successful.

  11. You’ll know Denver is screwed if Murray tries to hold them up for a max contract. Their team is already hamstrung with Gordon and porters excessive contracts and if they want to win these guys are going to have to start taking a little less money to play where they can be successful. None of them are worth the kind of money they’re expecting except joker.

  12. The bad news is his weaknesses may be getting more exposed and teams will be coming after him.

  13. As Jokic matures he is becoming more vocal about what he expects from teammates. It will be interesting to see how this dynamic plays out with Murray.

  14. As a lifelong DIEHARD Lakers fan: my : personal favorite NUGGETS of all time go in this order: alex English, fat lever, Calvin natt, dan issel, Wayne cooper, bill hanzlick( who was a WHITE Draymond green minus the dirty play) absolutely loved coach Doug moe! Damn im old!

  15. Look at Embiid PO numbers, when he can't take days off to be fresher than the opposition, when he can't pick the opposition to be the worst teams in the league, when he can't avoid road games…suddenly he shoots under 50% as a center, truly historic numbers 😀 😀 😀 I mean anybody who gets conned by this, should not take calls from unknown numbers, because they might convince him that his windows has a virus

  16. What is with all these people? Jamal was the 7th pick of the 2016 draft. He was the highest draft pick the Nuggets will have in the Jokic era. They will never have another high draft pick to draft a replacement and teams are simply not trading away #2 players on a championship team and there isn't time with Jokic turning 30 this season to wait! They can't trade for anyone better or even as good; despite all Jamal's flaws. They only have 1 tradedable draft pick from the 2031 draft even if someone good enough were available, which they aren't. They are going to have to suck it up and hope he returns to the form he had. As for not paying him a max contract, that's idiotic. They have to keep him hence they have to pay him. Either they pay him or they have to get rid of him, with no chance of finding a suitable replacement PG. This is the NBA. He's the 2nd best player on this team and the best they can get. Too bad if fans don't like it or think he's earned it. There's no time for "when somebody comes along!" There's no time for anything. Jamal is Jokic's running mate for good or ill. Time to stop whining about Jamal's shortcomings and suck it up buttercup!

  17. Just another example how some people should stop talking about basketball, South Sudan chance for a medal??? How can they fight for it when they are not even in QF's, so much stupidity

  18. Jamal best is in the past. Unfortunately for Denver… Denver can't win anymore fs with this players so it is what it is .. i would love but not going to happen 💯💯💯💯💯 and on top of all Denver organization is maybe biggest joke right now in the NBA… sorry

  19. If you start calibrating players based on eras then that opens a whole bunch of variables that may require adjustment e.g. role of the player, team strategy, quality of teammates, etc.

  20. Everyone saying Jamal is not worth 50 mil because of no accolades but then get mad because he's always hurt when he tweaked his hamstring just like CB in training camp. But the pressure of getting these accolades he started the season and then got hurt. Come on now

  21. No team is going to pay him near as much as he can get with the Nuggets. And he is dependent on Jokic for his game. The Nuggets should keep his salary down until he can show that he is that type of value to the Nuggets. His games played in his 7 seasons is: 82, 81, 75, 59, 48, 65, 59. He has missed 23, 17, 34 and 23 games in last 4 seasons. That's 97 games, or OVER a FULL season in game terms!!!

The Nuggets have paid him well for his 7 seasons. The past 4 seasons have been severely shortened and Murray has never seemed to learn how to balance his off nights with modifying his game to keep the team in contention. He shows up out of shape, plays into shape, gets injured playing into shape, is out until before playoffs, plays back into shape… do we see a bad pattern here? Tiring and frustrating to watch when we have MPJ and Jokic there to help him out.

His ultra competitiveness is a blessing and a curse. He doesn't manage it well. They HAVE to cut him back because for that slot, somewhere there are two VERY good players that we could then afford and let Jokic work his magic on adding to the value of those 2 other guys who would be more team oriented and healthy. Jamal had some great seasons, but as the past 4 seasons show, he is not worth a franchise killing investment. We're looking bad already as far a team development. It is being said that Denver is playing "banker" and not "contender" by letting KCP go and worrying about the cap.

It sure seems like Nuggets are back to trying to plan for the future – Jokic won't put up with that and Booth is running out of time to fix this. Murray may have to be the move. It doesn't rattle me much to think of Jamal going elsewhere to another team because sadly, I know what to expect there. We need to use his value to reload.

  22. "If this was true there wouldn't be all this talk and also rumbling among management and debate about him." What "rumbling" are you talking about? A few internet warriors on Youtube? There's zero indication that Calvin Booth is seriously considering trading Jamal Murray. The Nuggets just won a championship and Jamal was the 2nd best player. Complaining about Jamal is simply pointless. They aren't getting rid of him and they can't get a "better" player. Who on earth is that going to be? What assets would they use to go out and trade for this imaginary superstar player? It's all fantasy nonsense! "There are other players they can go after and spend that kind of money to make themselves better" And who are those? There was not one PG of Jamal's ability available for trade even at the beginning of FA and now the trade period is winding down and most teams are set with their rosters for the season. And aside from Jamal, the only tradable asset the Nuggets have is the 2031 pick. That isn't remotely enough to swing any kind of major deal even if one were available, which it isn't. Just fans being ignorant of how the NBA works is not a viable plan to improve this team!
