Christian Koloko Could Be Eyeing A HUGE Return To The Raptors

Christian Koloko has been medically cleared to return to basketball which is amazing news for the player and perhaps amazing news for the Toronto Raptors who could be looking to bring the player back to the team after recently waiving him.

The former 33rd overall pick was not waived for a lack of belief from the Raptors staff, but rather due to an ongoing blood clot issue that prevented him from playing in the NBA. The Raptors felt they were better served using their roster space elsewhere.

With Masai Ujiri’s belief in the player having never wavered, if the player is cleared fr his full NBa return, would it be the Raptors who land his signature?

  1. Man, we are signing a lot of centers now. we just got carlson and some guy from the Hawks now Koloko, lol, but im not complaining

  2. 5:52 – why would anyone tell Doug anything?
Other than someone like Fred who was just spilling dirt, and not getting any blame when he was bad.

We waived Koloko for medical reasons, guaranteed his contract, and kept tabs on him. He's hanging around the Raptors at summer league.

  3. Glad the guys healthy first off, secondly id love him back on the team he's still got potential and he fits into what were doing right now

  4. I know we just signed Bruno, and might get Koloko… but what about Bruno Cabocolo… I think he's done being 2 years from being 2 years from being 2 years from being 2 years from being 2 years away after that record breaking performance in the Olympics. By the time Koloko's tenure is done, Chomche will be finished being x amount of years away and ready to play.

  5. When cleared by the NBA Koloko will sign a 4 year contract paying him more than most fans think. It will end up being an absolute bargain. Koloko isn’t signing anywhere. Masai promised him he would resign him if he became healthy when he waived him. Clutch doesn’t want to trust another team to develop him. Raptors have invested and will continue to invest in his development.

  6. How did Smith forget that the league made the Raptors waive Koloko and why is he making up shit to make it look like there is bad blood between Koloko and the Raptors?

  7. I would have to understand what the concerns could be I thought we continued to pay him and would think we would have availed him to the medical staff??? To me this is like a player that gets cancer. He might not be able to play but if you pay and waive him the player needs oncologist and that is not a sports specialist. However, I hope they would have been a consistent second opinion? So if we did that I would think he would be likely to rejoin? If he gets NBA cleared I would suggest 4 year just slightly more than the Bi-annual exception with team option last 2 years for medical potential.
I agree he is an awesome fit if healthy. If he gets cleared by October a camp run and some 3rd C to start and then backup likely by December?

  8. I really love the direction this rebuild is heading! Feel like just as Kawhi was our last peice for a chip, sga will be that guy in some years and we will win another! 😅🔥

  9. Happy he's healthy. From a basketball perspective I'm just wondering has he played any basketball in the last 12-16 months. He was already a raw talent when drafted, if we are restarting that process with him now I'm not sure if this move matters at all. It's more fulfilling a promise to a young man to live his dream. But I feel he's a gleague player.

  10. If he comes back he'd be great as a backup 5. Making Olynyk the backup 4 and also meaning Walter/Abaji can develop more if needed
