The likely situation is Lauri won’t sign the extension becoming a UFA taking his control back as a player like you mentioned as someone who’s been traded 3 times I imagine this is big for him.

If Utah gives Markenen a max, it's the worst deal in the league. He's good, but he's not all NBA good and Markenen and whatever else they can scrape together doesn't get them into the playoffs.
