The l*East* allegations are going to be off the charts this year.
When looking at the other bad teams in the east, if we get to the second half of the season and Detroit or Charlotte are in the mix for the play-ins, I could see either of those teams making moves improve, since they’ve been so long without a playoff series. And even though Chicago looks now like they’re doing a full rebuild now, if they can’t find a taker for LaVine and are in range of the play-ins anyway, they might decide to go for it as well. So with that in mind, I could definitely see a scenario where the Raptors have a few injuries in the first half of the season, decide to do a light tank in the second half, and drop below those teams and finish around 5th in pre-lottery odds. Nets and Wizards will be un-out-tankable though.

After a week and a half cheering for winning basketball, it’s going to be depressing going back tanking ngl

That is pretty cool to see.

No guarantee that the Jazz would be better than us even if they kept Lauri. They could easily blow up the team by trading Clarkson and Sexton.

Im not ready for another year of this bullshit

I don’t see a Lauri-led Jazz team being the 4th worst team in the NBA even if one factors in health aka the Hornets probably losing LaMelo. They’ve consistently been a fringe play-in team that intentionally dips their feet into tanking late into the season.
I do see the Raptors being in that 7-11 range depending on how the West shakes out since the Blazers are probably the 3rd worst team in the league right now and they have a number of injury-prone players like Timelord. But I can’t see them getting any lower because the absolute dregs of the Eastern Conference are just that bad. You aren’t catching the Bulls even if LaVine is playing (Zach is not a winning player), the Nets are going to be the worst team in the league and the Wizards won’t be far behind along with the Blazers.
Obviously injuries or some unforeseen leap can change this outlook but right now? This team is seemingly locked into that 9/10 play-in game.

If the Jazz keep Markkanen after the deadline with no extension, and he has a down year for whatever reason, the Jazz are the ones that get screwed at the end

My god how many 1sts do the Spurs need before they actually can win some games lol.

It’s August. We doing this already?

Portland want to offload Deandre ayton? We could do it via trading bb and Boucher for him and taking on his salary for 2 seasons and 1 first round pick. We could make use of their pick too

Hawks were in the play in and got the 1st pick people anything can happen

I don’t want the 7th pick. Either lose lose lose and compete for #1 pick or shock the world and Win, make some noise
