Knicks could find IHart replacement already on roster.

This kid can play: Skapintsev has averaged 10.2 PPG, 7 RPG and 1.1 BPG while shooting 56.5% from the field. Imagine how this would help clear up any salary cap issues?

Did you not notice the seven foot statue dressed in blue, on the defensive side of the ball, all summer league?

I’m pretty sure this guy got a little playing time this past year and did not look very good.

  3. we have mitch achiuwa sims and hukporti under contract. we have zero two way spots and 1 roster spot available which we can spend mle money to fill. its much much much more likely that if we add to the center position its via trade and not signing a summer/gleague guy

where are those stats from? nba??? why do i think you’re posting g league stats that are pretty mid for that level, and assuming that his nba stats will be even somewhat comparable?

Fundamentally sound player, good skills and intangibles, plus length at 7’1″ and 7’6″ WS. But detractors will whine that he’s slow, doesn’t have explosive bounce; JMO but the ability to be in the right position, slide to stay in front and bother shots is more important than jumping 13′ and swatting the ball into the 8th row. He’s steady, not spectacular.

He’s worth bringing into TC, give him a chance at earning a spot

Maybe I am delusional, but Summer league Hukporti looked quite impressive. Athletic, coordinated and with actual ball skills. We’ve made due in the past with centers that played D but couldn’t catch the ball.

In 1976, the Knicks drafted a 7’2 Estonian man named Ruuben Jukham in the 7th round. He never played professionally and eventually went on to become a plumber.

Rumor has it that he recently retired and handed the business off to his son. His son was fixing the hot water heater of a small college in a remote part of Estonia and noticed a 7 footer dominating the local courts. When he told his dad, Jukham immediately called Leon Rose and told him to sign this kid. He’s the next Jokic. He’s 7 foot 3, runs a 4.2 40, has a 42 inch vertical and shoots the ball like Steph Curry.

Expect us to sign this kid and he will be our backup center. He’ll average 24/15/8 in 20 minutes a game. Guaranteed.

This was nonsense I wrote up while in a boring work meeting but it’s just as likely as OPs suggestion.

I’m not convinced. Let’s see if he can dominate in g league

He looked fluid offensively in summer league. Didn’t feel that his footwork translated to the defensive end, but the staff can work with him on that.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t think we even have this guy under contract right now. I think he is an NBA free agent.

Feeling good that in 2024 we are arguing over backup center vs 5 years ago arguing if Ramon sessions deserve to start over Frank Nilikina this is good stuff right here bros.

Skappy has feet of clay. Hukporti has hands of stone. If you could attach ones legs to the others torso you might have a player who could eventually become the next iHart.

  13. I would love to see him get a chance in training camp and pre-season.
