    but with how much we complain about no stars wanting to play in Utah we should be ecstatic to have Lauri sign.

    Awesome! Now trade as many of the other vets as we can and go full blown tank mode for the 2025 draft. If we get a top 3 pick out of that, we can go crazy next FA trying to build up a playoff contender, and then slowly build towards becoming a legit contender every year after that. With any luck, the roughest part of the rebuild is almost over, guys.

    We should be grateful to have such an awesome player during a time that we weren’t really expected to have that on the roster. Maybe this does mean we have a 5% worse chance of getting Flagg, but honestly, that doesn’t take away from the fact that this is a big win. Winning the lottery is unlikely either way, but having this stabilizing force regardless of the outcome is awesome.

    I’m a huge Lauri fan – this is a great day! He is a really unique and impactful player. Barring injury- I’d say he’s even still tradable on this number because of his complementary skill set. Great move Jazz

    It’s really exciting to have a star player who loves Utah and the Jazz. Every indication suggests he’s fully onboard with our rebuilding process and willing to play his role now for sustained future success. We have a plethora of young talent, draft picks and now we have a long-term cornerstone to build around. The future is bright.

    I’m in favor of tanking for the next 2 years, but I’m more in favor of rewarding great Jazz players who play winning basketball and are great teammates.

    Well-deserved for Lauri, after being a “throw-in” to the Donovan trade and improving his game to become a primary option for us and eventually an All-Star. He’s undoubtedly the star of this team and will likely become more of a leader with all the youth we have on this squad.

    Let’s draft someone in 2025 and 2026 who can help take the load off of him.
