Are you excited about the Warriors’ offseason?

Bringing in 3 solid rotation level vets in their prime vs small old cp3, unhappy klay, and Dario is def a net positive. But unless a real number becomes available, or emerges from the roster, they are still in the same tier. Bottom of the play in, with a bunch of solid players.

If we see Wiggs return to 2022 form, a big leap from JK defensively and with his 3 point shot, and then sophomore leaps from Podz and TJD, that will be HUGE for our team. Ideally we’re in the playoff picture (5 – 8 seed) and Curry is still cooking by the trade deadline. If that’s the case, we can definitely make some moves to help our playoff push. Think about the Mavericks——they were the 8 seed then acquired PJ Washington and Daniel Gafford at the trade deadline, then they made a huge playoff push into the finals. Additionally, our assets will look a lot more attractive if we do well, which will help with trades. I think we are interested in Jonas too no?

Heard Dray decided to be the number 2 scoring option this year. Incoming 20/7/7 and 40 percent from deep

Heck yeah. We made great signings with whatever room we had. Figuring out rotation with balanced youth and floor IQ, building great habits from the 1st day at training camp can take us where we wanna go.

And most importantly, We shd never have more than 2 guards on the floor at once and we would look good against most teams.

We have to remember that we should have won at least 10 more games than we did last season because of the leads we lost. Our moves this offseason will help TREMENDOUSLY with making sure that doesn’t happen as often again

  6. Hopefully this is actually true, but part of me feels like the timing of this report is meant to serve as a way to try and calm down the waves of frustrated fans. Basically going “look, Steph and dray are happy, you guys should be too”, even though we still have clear flaws that need to be addressed.

Biggest off-season addition is Year 4 Kuminga off the fucking leash

  8. Nalicar52

Need Wiggins to turn into his first season with us again or Kuminga to step up big time if we want a shot at the playoffs

Gross misrepresentation of what the article actually says

  10. They got 3 good players, nothing wrong with that. We all wished they would have packaged some of the underperforming guys and picks to gey a 2nd star, but it was still a great off-season considering where we were.

I still expect one of GP2 or Looney to be salary dumped by the deadline, but it looks like our roster is pretty much set.

The loss of CP3 and Klay is going to force Kerr pit of his comfort rotations and the new guys on the sideline should hopefully reinvigorate the coaching staff. In 2022 Mike Brown was on the sideline all game calling out defensive schemes and changing up coverages every couple possessions to keep opponents off balance. Hopefully Stackhouse can do some of that and the offense gets an overhaul. It’s become really stale and predictable the last couple seasons.

Can’t wait until the season starts. Olympic basketball doesn’t really do it for me, it just a frustrating reminder that I haven’t seen Warriors basketball since April.

The biggest difference makers come down to Wiggins and Kuminga. If those two vastly improve from what we’ve seen, I like the team as constructed.

Why they gotta do quotations lol.

    Just write they’re excited.

  13. The Warriors were not a fun team to watch last season. Klay in his feelings, a roster that left us with lineups that either had decent offense and terrible defense or decent defense and no spacing on offense. Thank god Podz and Trayce looked like rotation ready guys year one and managed to earn real minutes, b/c I think both of those dudes are going to be a significant part of the rotation this year.

Just fixing the vibes should help so much, Melton can give us a floor spacing catch and shoot wing who unlike Klay the last couple years CAN stay in front of his man on the perimeter. Buddy Hield can play that role they asked Klay to play last season, 6th man off the bench scorer. Slo-mo is a smart forward with a good handle, good length, and smart player who I think can easily learn to play in the Warriors motion offense.

They’ve retooled their coaching staff as well, brought in some fresh voices, really the only thing that I see holding this roster back from being really good next season is that they still don’t have a second creator.

Yea we need a second star, yes. Does this roster win it all? Prob not. I don’t think it’s as hopeless as people say.

The second half of last season, we had a top winning percentage and point differential to finish the season.

When we started the 22 season without Klay, our “second star” was Wiggs, maybe an emerging Poole. They got off to a wicked hot start with that team, had some lulls, but eventually won a title. Players like OPJ, Bjelica, and GP2 played out their mind that season.

I’m hoping the team gels, the Klay situation removed means we can put out our best lineups, and Dray doesn’t go get himself suspended.

The end of last season carries over, we’re at least in the mix for 4-6 this season. The addition of melton and slomo i think are sure fire improvements too.

  15. Jicama-Smart

let’s hope dray is also excited about the treadmill this summer

  16. sugarwax1

They’re reportedly anything the Warriors press department wants them to be.

What could they possibly be excited about? The 2 ways are better, the bench is better if you want an all wing lineup. There are massive holes in the PG, C, and SG spots.

  17. we_hella_believe

This team will surprise a few fans here, in a good way.

  18. shhsheuudhfjdiiejw

What else they gonna say? Thanks for the scoop Kendra lol.

  19. This team is one Steph ankle sprain away from being in the hunt for Cooper Flagg. So be it.

  20. AbominatorGator96

I like the three pick ups. I hope Wiggins has a great season this next year and kuminga has a nice leap. I am actually pretty excited to see this team next season

  21. Thrillawill

Of course they are. The worse we are as a team, the easy it is for both of them to ask out via trade and go play for a real contender.

  22. RustyShackleford925

There’s not a lot of logic to this but I really think this team is gonna make a surprise run this year.
