[Charania] Free agent guard Malachi Flynn has agreed on a one-year deal with the San Antonio Spurs, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Flynn – who had a career high 50 points in April – averaged eight points in 14 minutes per game for Pistons last season.

I, uh, did not have this on my bingo card. Curious how he even factors into the rotation when we have a glut of young guards already and Flynn is pretty universally considered to be not good

The Spurs culture is built on finding guys who want to compete. Whether it’s players off the scrap heap or late first round draft picks. Might as well see what this guy is made of and if he can find that next gear or force Branham or Wesley to step up it’s a win for a team in the last true year of the rebuild.
