Yeah Lauri won't be leading a team to a championship anytime soon. Why the warriors would want him is beyond me
I disagree completely with this video. Lauri can be traded next of season if Utah don't wanna keep him. Also the Jazz can go out for another star they have tons of picks and assets if they wanna excel their rebuild.
Jazz fan here and just my perspective on the picks from GS that would have come back in the lauri trade. If they traded lauri any swaps the jazz have in the next 5 years including GS swaps throw those in the garbage because the jazz are probably going to be bottom 5 for at least three if not more years depending on the lottery. And if GS gets to keep all their young players and gets a 27 year old all star I don’t see them being anywhere close to the lottery for the next 5-6 years unless they have a year with horrible injury luck. Which only helps the jazz if that year is one they have the pick and not a swap.
I wanted the jazz to tank hard and try to capture the flag. But if the reports are right and the best offer was moody and picks I’m ok that they decided to keep Lauri. Especially with the flattened lottery odds. There are going to be risks either way and I would rather keep Lauri instead of trading him pennes on the dollar.
I think the Jazz will easily be able to trade him again in the off-season but this was the best opportunity for a team to plunder Golden State of its assets. The Warriors are going to try and appease Curry and will mortgage their future in doing so. If I was Ainge I would have tried my best to take every unprotected 1st I could get from Golden State while taking Wiggins back. Curry is in his late 30s and once he loses a step or retires they will be a lottery team..
Anyone with an IQ above an ESPN commenter or YouTube Content Creator could see from the jump that Lauri was indeed the prize in all those deals.
Glad someone else has admitted that Cleveland trade was a fleece job. Utah should’ve traded Markkanen though. I thought they were tanking for Cooper now they are probably gonna end up around 7-9 range of the draft.
Lauri deserves the money
So I keep hearing that the jazz are to good with Lauri to tank properly. But as a jazz fan that watched every game last year start to finish I think people don’t know or are forgetting how important Olynick, Simone, and Dunn were to the team. Even if the west didn’t get better I could see the jazz losing 5-8 more games if they replace the minutes those vets played with rookie minutes.
You should rename your channel as a Debbie downer basketball. Holy shit as of late all your videos are just about trashing these contract signings, The trades etc.
Well newsflash. Thats how basketball is. Its a huge gamble, you are banking on these players for success. Which can pay or cant. But thats the beauty of it.

Danny ainge made the gobert and mitchell trades thinking that he'd be able to end up in a situation similar to what he had with the billy king trade. Unfortunately it doesn't really make any sense as to why he traded Mitchell at this time. Mitchell is only 28 and has at least 4-5 more yrs of elite play before declining. You could've traded gobert and retooled around Mitchell maybe attracted another star and used those assets to make more moves. Dont understand the jazz direction atp
