23-24 stats for Franz, Mobley & JK. Included Franz & Mobley because they both recently signed extensions for 224mil.

I’m glad JK views himself as a max contract player love the confidence!

Trade him. We must be able to consolidate to get a 2nd tier star and a big.

I’d be very interested if you isolated January 2024 on how he’d stack up. From the moment he was empowered to be a second option and Dray was back onboard.

I’m one of the biggest Kuminga Stans on here but truth be told the most important stat on these lists is BPM (and VORP to a lesser extent). If your team is winning in spite of you not because of you (which is a bit of the between the lines there) you ain’t a player really in command of the coin.

People don’t watch the games and clearly haven’t been watching how Kerr has been mishandling Kuminga. Kuminga had to literally go into his office last year to get steady burn Kerr was still holding him back early in the season. He didn’t start seeing a consistent role until January. They say Kuminga doesn’t deserve to get offered 224mil but he hasn’t been given the opportunity neither Mobley or franz has been given and he was on full display as our true second option to curry. Kerr need to cut the bs and make it known to Kuminga that he’s our #2. That would boost his confidence and allow him to feel more comfortable on the court. They praise bp and TJD so much and neither were asked to go to gleague as rookies. Kuminga was a lottery pick Steve stop acting like your being asked to implement an undrafted signing. You’re being asked to use a top 7 pick.

per 36 would probably be better than game – jk did not play as much as those dudes

What about a Kuminga for WCJ trade? We would need to add a player to make the salary match work. What else would ORL need to include to make it fair?

How do we compare these stats when you didn’t even put the MPG in it

Yeah young players get paid to their ceiling not to their present

  9. zulwarn88

If we don’t wanna pay him might as well trade him now when his value is high. None of these young guys today are proven before getting the giant bag.

Are either Mobley or Wagner going to be a top 10 player in the next 3 years? No one really knows, but you have to take the risk.

Everyone on this sub seems to want reward with no risk taking which just doesn’t exist.

  10. SunDriedToMatto

FWIW – Kerr kept playing Wiggs over him early in the year, even when Kuminga was cooking

  11. rational_numbers

Mobley has the lowest ft% but the highest 3p%

  12. cholula_is_good

Max is kinda the going rate for a rookie extension on a starting caliber wing with all star potential.

  13. The biggest thing is going to be can he shoot 3’s consistently.

  14. Guacamol3Jon3s

That’s really skewed set of samples. Both Franz and Evan were starters the whole season and have been starters the seasons before. While JK was forced to come off the bench and played between 15 and 20 minutes, most games regardless of his performance.

I’d be more interested to see these stat lines up against Kuminga’s 30 minute averages from last season when Draymond was out and the Warriors were dealing with injury.

    https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask/jonathan-kuminga-average-stats-january-through-march

From what I can tell, the stats he put up during that time period are much closer to franz’s than people realize. I would imagine that if given starter minutes throughout the whole season playing alongside Steph, as the second scorer and heir apparent, he’d likely average more points per game.

I hate the contracts in the NBA. This reminds me of when Joe Johnson got 20 mil a year or when Conley got 40 mill. It’s wild, but that’s capitalism. JK is probably worth the money. He’s also what we got so if he plays well, I say pay the man.

Shiiiit… We have JP 33 Mil and the kid couldn’t play defense to save his life. His ceiling was always a very very poor man’s Jamal Crawford. Shout out JCraw that dude was siiiick.

  15. amlanding20

Would rather have both Mobley and Wagner than Kuminga tbf

  16. madlabdog

Stop looking at these things in isolation. Cavs and Magic have a different team composition than ours. If they hadn’t resigned these players, they The only way Warriors need to play this is by making JK a starter for the whole season, see if he is part of our future Big 3 and make offer accordingly.

  17. Lesingingminer

I didn’t realize how bad Franz 3 pointer is. Below 30% is crazy

  18. by_yes_i_mean_no

I am very confident that Wagner is going to be (and already is) a better player than Kuminga, I hope the Warriors are not seriously considering signing Kuminga for that much. If that is truly what he wants, let him go to restricted free agency.

  19. cant judge the other 2 cos dont watch their games but yeah aint no way kuminga is worth a max contract. to those that said kuminga is better than franz, do you see kuminga carrying germany like franz did?

  20. haley_hathaway

Just cause other teams overpaid doesn’t mean you should

  21. The main difference is that those teams have some idea of what the team is going to be. The Warriors have no fucking clue what is happening😂

  22. Useful_Coyote_5796

I didn’t even know Franz Wagner shot that poorly from three.

  23. todudeornote

Some more defensive stats would be helpful.

  24. Every Warriors fan should want JK to get a max. Because with the new CBA and harsh second apron no teams are going to throw a significant portion of their cap space for years to come just to screw over the Warriors.

  25. mandoman10

Franz got exposed and benched when it mattered. You guys gotta watch the games…
