Basically in the most PR friendly way he said

Kerr coaching in 2028 I’m not going anyone else I’ll go

JT, go get your French citizenship. Ball out with Wemby, Risacher, and Yabu.

Shock the world. Villain arc incoming. Be a man, let’s fucking go.

  3. Brad-Stevens

people saying he shouldnt feel slighted are dumb ….

2012: Participated in developmental national team camp

2013: Participated in developmental national team camp, won gold at U16 FIBA Americas playing the T-4th most minutes

2014: Won gold at FIBA U17 World Championship, 3rd leading scorer, 6th in minutes

2015: Won gold at FIBA U19 World Championship, 3rd leading scorer, 2nd in minutes

2016: Played for USA Junior National Select Team at Nike Hoop Summit

2019: Played for World Cup Team, was going to be one of top players before injury in second game

2021: Won gold at Olympics, 2nd leading scorer, built up to be the ‘next face’ of Team USA

2024: Won gold at Olympics, Multiple DNPs, was basically 9th man or 11th man depending on game

No one except Lebron and KD have put in the consistent work with Team USA … As a superstar, of course he’s going to think about going to the next one if his role is what it was

Kerr clearly didn’t want Tatum there. Grant Hill and Kerr weren’t on the same page. If KD was healthy from the start Tatum would have played even less. What is the point in bringing in an elite, all NBA talent if you’re not gonna utilize him? Just bring in another role player wing so there’s less drama. Why not invite a Naz Reid level player? Tatum being there made zero sense.

JT’s gonna be tired from the 5-peat next Olympics, so I won’t blame him for sitting out

  6. HudsonSir

Tatum 48min 70+ pts incoming vs. Warriors next time we play them. You know Mazulla would be down for it.

  7. ShaolinSwervinMonk

Says page doesn’t exist can somebody post it?

  8. Tatum always takes the high road. He’s as classy as ot gets. But deep down you know he can’t wait to drop 50 on Golden State next year

  9. SpursExpanse

JT has at least three more ,possibly shots to Carry US to Gold medals. All the talk and vitriol in this sub and beyond is stupefying.

Super lame. Look at how Hali handled it. He feels entitled

  11. Pipes_of_Pan

What must be especially frustrating is that the coaching staff didn’t seem to bother giving him a role! Like Booker was playing completely differently and got a ton of minutes. Feels really disrespectful.

Can someone post a screenshot please. I can’t open Twitter.

won without him this year will win without him next time

  14. AgeZealousideal2427

Jeff Teague already said it best

  15. OldButterscotch5150

Tatum was insulted on the world stage. Doesn’t that mean he should definitely play in 2028? How else does he get his lick back?

Not playing would be weak, imo

  16. OldButterscotch5150

Nah. He will. But it doesn’t change the fact that he was the 2nd leading scorer in Tokyo and now, after winning a chip and growing his game, multiple DNPs. Plus, add in the big deal the fans made about it, articles written, parents calling out coaches, they just won gold. He had to have a bunch of mixed emotions. Also add
He’s been playing an extra 20 games every season and doesn’t miss games.

He’ll be alright. Rest, then work on the jumper, then dominate.

  17. Unusual-Computer5714

Who the fuck picks these squads anyway? Six guards, three centres and three forwards, wtf!

  18. Numerous_Resist_8863

I’m just glad I don’t have to see another post bitching about him not playing…
