Kerr clearly didn’t want Tatum there. Grant Hill and Kerr weren’t on the same page. If KD was healthy from the start Tatum would have played even less. What is the point in bringing in an elite, all NBA talent if you’re not gonna utilize him? Just bring in another role player wing so there’s less drama. Why not invite a Naz Reid level player? Tatum being there made zero sense.

Nah. He will. But it doesn’t change the fact that he was the 2nd leading scorer in Tokyo and now, after winning a chip and growing his game, multiple DNPs. Plus, add in the big deal the fans made about it, articles written, parents calling out coaches, they just won gold. He had to have a bunch of mixed emotions. Also add He’s been playing an extra 20 games every season and doesn’t miss games.
He’ll be alright. Rest, then work on the jumper, then dominate.
