His putback dunk game winner is still one of my favorite Hawks moments. His constant 2-11 3PA performances are still some of my least favorite Hawks moments.

He was a bright spot on some dark seasons. Early 2000 Hawks were a lot of fun cause it was low expectations with misc guys balling together, which gave us some high picks. We didn’t use them all correctly but Josh Smith and Josh Childress were double double machines, then Daunte Smith had this ridiculous slam when rebounding someone’s FT from the FT line, he came out of nowhere! Then Royal Ivey, Acie Law, Salim Staudimire, and, well, not so much Marvin Williams as potential fun franchise players. Smith was probably the best out of them, especially when he came out and won the Dunk contest just gliding through the air. His main problem to me was he loved shooting the 3, had a sweet left handed shot… problem was, it didn’t go in enough lol Al Horford was the start of the winning more and progressing more every season with Mike B as coach. Rise Up because our 2024/25 Hawks are gna surpass expectations, then the lakers are going to give us a top 5 pick and Kings give us pick 13. Spurs will get our 25th pick.
