Also Rockets haven’t extended Sengun yet because of his cap hold next summer which would give HOU essentially an extra max slot if they wait to extend him. He’s not getting traded.
Unlike Detroit or Toronto who has no other choice but to extend Cade & Scottie, Houston gets to wait & create more cap room by extending Sengun next summer. Just like how Philly waited until this summer to extend Maxey which gave them the room to sign Paul George. It’s the benefit of hitting big on your mid 1st draft picks
