Who is the most underrated Spur of all time?

I saw this going around on r/NBATalk and I thought it would be interesting.

I’d personally go with Alvin Robertson, averaged 16/5/5 with 2 steals and also had one of four quadruple doubles in NBA history and the only one with steals, putting up 20 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists, and 10 steals against the Phoenix Suns on Feb. 18 1986. He is also is No. 14 on the Spurs’ all-time scoring list (6,285), No. 9 on the assists list (2,094) and No. 4 on the steals list (1,128).

Danny Green gets forgotten, especially his transition D

  2. One could argue it’s Ginobli. I know he’s a HOF and his jersey is hanging but what he did for the franchise for so long just isn’t appreciated outside of San Antonio. He was the glue of the big 3 and gave up tens of millions to stay in SA and come off the bench

For me it’s a toss up between Danny green and speedy Claxton

  4. George Gervin. I know I know he gets lots of love is in the HoF and has his number retired. But as a whole people don’t talk about just HOW great he was. He’s really the only reason the Spurs were relevant before The Admiral

Manu Ginobili is my pick. Despite all of his accolades and fame, he’s still underrated by people outside of the Spurs fandom. He’s an all-time great and he gets talled about like an average all-star.

  8. George Gervin, yeah he’s a legend but in a vague sense. Dude would be great in the modern game( or any era). Especially league wide, I think due to ABA years.

It’s gonna be a hot take….but Tony Parker

Hes always overshadowed by both Tim and Manu, but his numbers were absolutely phenomenal. We definitely wouldn’t have been the powerhouse we were all those years without Tony.

Within the Spurs fan base: Green or Oberto

Outside the Spurs fan base: Manu or Bowen

By virtue of not having been named yet, Gary Neal.
