DeRozan ain`t putting anybody over the top. Kings will be a 2nd round exit at best.
Sabonis doesn’t have great touch around the rim I wish he would attempt more shots still.

you brought up 2002. i really need to let 2002 go, but i haven't. i'm an expert. if he hadn't tapped the ball to robert horry, the officials – yes, the officials – would've come up with something else. remember when samake walker hit a 3 a full .2 seconds after the halftime buzzer light went off – and they counted it? bibby getting hit in the face, foul on bibby?
it's pretty clear what happened there, while i have the time to kill:
donaghy said it himself: Ref A and B decided it would be better for the league to have a large market team come out of the west – we'll call them the Fakers.
and so they made it happen.
but – this is all documented – did you know that after the FBI apprehended Donaghy they were going to set up a sting and see how many other refs they could catch? only the very highest levels of the NBA knew about it – and, interestingly, the story leaked.
Sting over. Whew – that was close, eh NBA?
And then, interestingly, Stern went way, way, way far out of his way to make sure that the Kings stayed in Sacramento. Although the Maloofs were dicks, it would kind of make sense that they went to Seatlle. Stern didn't let it happen.
Just a wild a$$ guess, but i'd guess that he wasn' down with the cheating, knew damn well it happened, and felt sort of obligated to at least keep sacramento from getting any more screwed than it already had been.
still don't know why the Lakers don't have an asterisk next to that "title" though.
