The full quote is so much better than the title. But maybe because I am a sucker for a motivational speech.

“*Y’all are trash, I’m Sam ‘Big Balls’ Cassel!*”

You mean to tell me Jan Vesely wasn’t gonna solve things????

  4. It’s hard to lose and not feel like a loser. Especially if you know it won’t turn around any time soon. But shaking off the demoralization and continuing to invest everything they got into getting better is what a lot of these guys have to do.

Love both of these guys so much. Had season tickets to those seasons and you could tell how bad John wanted to win, I always wish the injury bug didn’t catch up with him because he’s one of my favorites I’ve watched and seems like a great dude.

Had to look it up but John Wall had only 5 winning seasons in his 13 year career and never had a season where he won 60% of his games

*”I’ma call you John All cause the W aint in you”*

This is funny considering the Wizards lost more games the next season. That said this is something everything a 20 year old needs to hear. Life only gets harder. Whether it gets better or worse is up to you.

  9. Vids like this make me realize how when people say “x Players are trying to tank” it’s all BS. I don’t think people realize how hard it is to win in the NBA.

why isn’t he a head coach yet?

former player, helped win titles as a player and a coach, tons of coaching experience, seems to be respected

    i don’t get it

Was this the podcast about Draymond Green sucker punching his teammate?

Ernie Grunfeld and Ted Leonsis did unparalleled damage to DC Basketball fans mental health

John Wall was legitimately electric for a time. Always remember that game against the Celtics where the little girl died and he won it for her. Then that series against the Celtics too. Made Washington respectable for a couple years.

Can’t believe Cassell isn’t a head coach…unreal nobody has signed him

  15. SteveCrunk

Can’t remember who it was (Maybe Kenny from inside NBA) but basically anyone good enough to get drafted to the NBA, especially top ten guys, probably going to lose more games in year 1 than they have in their lives up until that point.

I read the title and thought wow, Sam Cassell career was a lot longer than i remember 🤦🏽‍♂️

These guys play on stacked high school teams, go and commit for the best college teams, then all of a sudden they get drafted to the worst NBA teams… it’s gotta be a big culture shock for them.

How the hell hasn’t Cassell been a head coach yet. Hilarious and touching

This *should* be Sam’s last assistant job this coming season, he has earned a head coaching position in the NBA.

Sam Cassell was the Kyle Lowry of the 00’s. Mad underrated and so good. Understood all facets of the game. Could shoot, pass and had High IQ.

shoutout to john wall. he carried the soul of the entire DMV during his time there. the city loved him, and i hope he felt it

  22. broadwayallday

gotta wonder how much it took a toll on his body, pushing so hard with that will to win when it’s basically impossible due to franchise ineptitude

  23. johnjohnjohn93
