  1. Good for him. Hope he can keep it off. The guy is a bucket I wanna see him shine

Saw him against the Grizzlies at summer league and he definitely looked trimmer. It was also fun seeing him and GG joke with each other most of the game. The Bulls suck enough he might have a legit shot at minutes.

The way he dominates summer league, he should go get paid playing overseas.

  4. He had a really mediocre summer league. I still don’t know what role he can play in the league. Hope he makes it but it is looking dicey.

Hopefully he can trim up and still be as effective as a player. He had the chance to show it here and didn’t

I just don’t understand why he didn’t put this effort in with us? Did leaving the team finally open his eyes or did someone finally tell it to him straight.

He’s an elite talent. The skill is there and then some. Only thing holding him back is motivation.

The thing that bothers me about this angle of discussing KLjr’s progress in the league is this notion that he should trim down or it’s a sign that he’s *”not serious”* about his career. Have you actually looked at pictures of this kid from college and before college? He’s always been big. He’s always been big **while playing basketball**. He was doing the workouts, going to the practices, all during the time when his metabolism should be at its peak… and yet he was still big.

That means his baseline body is big with a lot of flab. Plenty of people who are actually in shape have that body type. Ever watched lumberjack competitions? Those guys are *”fat”* but in shape. What this really implies is that **1.)** he’s unlikely to remain at that size and **2.)** he is probably doing things which aren’t all that healthy in order to trim down. Nothing we say affects him so it’s not like *”Yall are part of the problem for saying that!”* but it is something to think about. I just think this whole paradigm of *”Hes not serious about his career if he’s not svelte”* really misunderstands him.
