I honestly thought that was the original 'wink-wink' deal that the Nuggets made with OKC in the first place. OKC couldn't send him directly to a rival though, as it would have bad optics, so they re-routed him through Charlotte.

Denver also reportedly tried back in July during free agency to acquire him too. When the deal fizzled, they went in on acquiring Westbrook. I think it would be a great move personally and it would give them depth at PG with someone Jokic is personally familiar with already. I think the one real trade piece (Nnajji) they have isn’t very appealing to other teams which is why it hasn’t materialized.
Dribbles a bit too much, but can provide some stability to the bench by not forcing too much. Also has moments when he’s shooting pretty well.
