The Mavs hired former New York Knicks executive Makhtar N’Diaye to be their new director of player personnel and international scouting. N’Diaye, who played a big part in the OG Anunoby trade, joins Nico Harrison, Michael Finley and Matt Riccardi at the top of the Mavericks’ front office. Nico Harrison’s biggest move during the 2024 NBA Offseason was signing Klay Thompson in NBA Free Agency, making the Mavs contenders for the 2025 NBA Finals once again.     Hey, what do you hear about Quentin Grimes? He's the guy that I focus on for his potential contribution to the team. Can he return to the form of '22-'23? How solid is he as a defender?

    Another example of something that Nico brings that was just nonexistent under Donnie. The game had just passed us by and the operation Nico took over was so archaic compared to the best organizations in the league. This is a Top 5 FO now. It is because of Nico and him being empowered to do what he does.

    I know that you guys said Nico and his "guys under him" are doing a great job and I agree. I just do not want to sleep on the contributions that Kidd and Kyrie made especially in their discussions with and courting of Klay. I love team ball and team in negotiations, recruiting as well! Excited to see the season begin!

    Outside of Klay and Kai, you don’t have a lot of players (currently active on the roster) with that NBA Championship experience.

    Look at what Nico has done! He has totally upgraded the roster and also got younger with the exception of Kyrie and Klay. No one can predict the future but I feel good about the Dallas Mavericks!
