These veteran GMs, including Ainge don't take Dunleavy seriously as a skilled mover and shaker. Ainge was playing with a neophyte. The basketball world knows that Dunleavy inherited this position like he has his whole basketball career, including his draft position.
Minnesota could be a potential trade not because they would want to blow it up. Rather, they can't afford to keep the current lineup. Maybe one of Naz/Kat/Rudy would become available. Also aren't they changing ownership to A-rod and Mark Lore? Who knows what they're willing to pay.
