The REAL reason the Utah Jazz are okay tanking
The Utah Jazz have just signed Lauri Markkanen but it still looks like Ryan Smith, Danny Ainge and the Utah Jazz will tank for Cooper Flagg. Why? Well whatever they do, they’re going to come out ahead with the expansion the NBA is about to go through. Imagine getting Cooper Flagg and expansion money. The Utah Jazz will be just fine and Ryan Smith made the best investment ever getting into NBA ownership

The hockey team couldn’t have came at a better time, with it being its first season it’s likely going to take lots of attention away from the jazz

And, that means there will be an expansion draft, which is why you need some expendable players at the end of the roster.
I think with the tanking it would be great to just emphasize the young guys build up. (maybe some reality show following them, wink wink??)
Then instead of people coming to the games to see Utah lose, the would come to see how much better the young ones have gotten.
Of course there is always the caveat that, if they get a little bit too good.. what happens then.

Imagine after all that if any of those young ones become a corner stone long time player for Jazz, they be legends.
