One of the most important people in franchise history. Rest easy Coach

A Great Man has left the building today!

Still, his legacy will remain, not only hung in the rafters, but written upon the hearts of every true Warrior to follow in his stead!

    Thank you Al!

He was THE Coach for so long. Also, he once teamed up with Wilt to score 117 points in a game.

    Rest In Peace, Coach.

The best, coolest, toughest, nicest, most devoted Warrior. His retired jersey isn’t enough in my opinion.

  5. The Destroyer! Holds the record for most points scored in one game as a combo. His 16 and Wilts 100.

I remember doing a basketball camp at Santa Clara University with a young Tim Hardaway Mitch Richmond, and the legend Al Attles.

In one shooting drill, my dad missed a bank shot… and missed the rim entirely. Al laid into him like he was under contract.

“Are you trying to break the equipment here? What kind of shot was that?”

I was shocked. And then he flashed that wonderful, disarming smile and it became the highlight of our afternoon.

What a great man. A true Warriors legend and ambassador. Rest in Peace.

Rest easy king 🙏, the dubs practice court is named after him.

I was sitting next to Al Attles for a game back in the early 90’s. He was very nice and gave me a printed box score of the game at half-time.
