It’s the opening game for a brand new stadium in Los Angeles, it’s not exactly the numba one stunna

    what what what

  2. Slim_Via23

Who cares? Celtics gonna win it all again. Next.

  3. Kwilly462

New arena. Located in Los Angeles. Team still has two Hall of Famers on it.

Yes, it’s going to be expensive. No surprise there.

  4. draculabakula

I’m sure the prices are gouged for opening night but ticket prices are getting out of control in America. The most expensive seat for top soccer club in Europe is less than $100.

Teams sell insane amounts of seats to corporations and there are no protections against seat flippers. I met a guy who had like 30 different season tickets in the Bay Area and sold them all for a profit every year.

first game for a brand new, state of the art stadium against a rival who happens to have one of the greatest players of all time and another current all-star in his prime.

yeah, it’s not gonna be cheap

  6. Confident_Pen_919

I guess the days of dirt cheap Clipper tickets is over? Not gonna lie Ive probably been to way more Clipper games than Laker games just cause it was always a bargain

  7. Advanced_Bar6390

Im used to going to their games for 6 buks

    >On Tuesday, the Ticketmaster website showed the game was a near sellout. However, the tickets available ranged between $386.40 and $577.05 for the 100-level. For tickets priced at $441.55 each, it would cost a party of two a subtotal of $883.10.

That is pricey but it should be a star studded game – assuming everyone is healthy

    It’s LA

It’s opening night of a new stadium

I wouldn’t pay for that, but I can understand the charge

  9. ColdFusion95

Who would’ve thought the new expensive arena would have expensive ticket pricing

  10. BurnCollector_

Clippers tickets are more expensive across the board this season, which should have been anticipated. The Ultimate Wall Pass is a great deal for any fans who are able to go to 25+ games this season. Otherwise, good second hand deals will probably be found for most games as they get closer.

  11. IamInternationalBig

“Look at me. Look at me. I’m the cheap ticket now.“

     ~ Lakers

  12. Dusty_Negatives

Let’s get real this arena gonna be half empty every night. Nobody gives a shit about clippers in LA. Prob sell out the lakers games tho.

  13. Professional_Cow4397

Billy Crystal can afford it. Are there other Clippers fans?

  14. PlatinumState

Its opening night in a new arena. I’ve looked at the games after and prices are more reasonable. Like 80-150 $ range. Theyre never gonna be 10-20$ like they used to be, gotta make that 2 billion back somehow

  15. lambopanda

Opening night on new arena. Playing against team with two superstars. Followed by Bruno Mars concert. What do you expect?

  16. IgnorantGenius

Shit’s going to be empty later in the season if the prices don’t normalize.

  17. jgroove_LA

yeah, but the game was pretty much already almost sold out when tickets went on sale…this is a lot of “guests” invited game for the Clips org

  18. yetagainitry

They are surprised a 2 billion dollar arena has high ticket prices? change that title to “La Clipper fans, proven dumb”

  19. fawkesmulder

intuit dome is really nice. was there for a concert yesterday

  20. thxtalks

Given there are like two dozen clippers fans in LA, these prices will come down eventually. They were damn near giving away floor seats last year.

  21. Kobe_stan_

It’s just pricy for opening night. If you look at tickets for a week later, they’re way cheaper

  22. Does this mean no more cheap clippers tickets : /

  23. AllmyFriendsrDead77

This blows. The only appeal to going to Clippers games was to see your visiting faves for cheap in good seats.

  24. OfficialPeenLicker

Stunned that the new billion dollar stadium is going to charge an arm and a leg? How dumb are Clippers fans?

  25. dj_spatial

The sports bubble is still alive. I can only hope this inflation BS wears off like it did for fast food. FOMO is just great marketing.

  26. Paying for a flight to an away game to some cities and getting a comparable seat at their arena will still probably come out to be cheaper.

  27. Easter_Item_727

I mean, the hell did these bozos expect?

It’s the first regular-season match in a brand new arena all-digital with the latest technology avaliable in a quickly-gentrifying area. Did they really expect $10-$20 tickets for the *very first game ever at a new stadium*? 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

  28. LurkerKing13

$360 for a 100 level seat is cheaper than I expected to be honest.

  29. portugamerifinn

Of course it’s expensive to go to literally the first ever real game in a brand new L.A. arena.

Balmer didn’t build this thing out of benevolence, he’s planning to make a bunch of money.

BTW, I had a $500 Ticketmaster gift card last year and it wouldn’t cover in full any two lower level seats to the second game of a Warriors back-to-back vs. Portland.

  30. HA_HA_Clits_n_dicks

Clippers following the Warriors game plan to price their fans out of the stadium.

  31. Practical-Pickle-529

My dad said he’d like to go to a game this year and I’m like when did you win the lottery

  32. mill_about_smartly

    TLDR

    >Ticket prices in the 100-level range between $360-$577 per ticket.

Whew – that seems high, but it is opening night at a brand-new stadium. I imagine a lot of those tickets are being sold (given) to sponsors and contractors, etc.

  33. babelove2

when players are making 60 mill is anyone really surprised. Based on median income it would take the average American 1010 years to make that money…

  34. actual_yellow_bag

ROI baby. You want a premium team you pay the premium price. Well except Kawhi is probably hurt to start the season, so have fun paying $200 to see old Harden.

  35. RVAIsTheGreatest

As said by others…the lack of accessibility sucks but not a shock in any way.

  36. FranklinReynoldsEGG

Someone has to pay for the toilet bowl

  37. Moveless

I’m a Phoenix Suns fan who has lived in LA for 10 years and Clippers games were always my cheap way to see my favorite team… tickets that were 30 dollars are now 300 dollars. I get its opening night but this is lame.
