When Magic Johnson Won a Finals MVP as a ROOKIE π | @AllTheSmokeProductions #shorts
Magic Johnson talks to Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson and tells the story about playing the Philadelphia 76ers in the NBA Finals as a rookie in 1980. Magic’s teammate Kareem Abdul Jabbar suffered a sprained ankle in game 5 and was unable to play game 6 so Magic decided to take over Kareem’s role as Captain of the team. Magic ended up starting at the center position despite only being 6’9″ and lead the Los Angeles Lakers to what would be their first of FIVE championships over an eight year span. Absolutely epic moment and story of the one and only Magic Johnson. This moment is on of many made me a lifelong Magic Johnson fan.

thumps Bible THE BIBLE SAYS: Matthew 13:41-42 βThe Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. HE WHO HAS EARS TO HEAR, LET HIM HEAR. God is going to judge the world in righteousness, and if you are found guilty of just one sin, you will be go where you deserve to be, in the lake of fire. No sinner will have inheritance in the kingdom of God and there is no repentance in hellβ¦
βDo you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, βnor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. But there is hope for you, there is a chance for you if you are still alive. Jesus Christ died on the Cross for your sins, that you would no longer live in them, but be dead to them and live for him who died for you. The Bible says that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for you. (Romans 5:8) But the question, do you love him? Jesus says if you love me, keep my commandments. (John 14:15) Love God and love your neighbor as yourself. These are the two greatest commandments. Do you want to get saved? First you must humble yourself because God opposes the proud and gives grace to the humble (James 4:6), then you must confess your sins to God in a broken and contrite way, then you forsake your sins and be baptized in the name of Lord Jesus, then just like the words of Jesus to the woman caught in adultery, GO AND SIN NO MORE. Follow Jesus!
Probably the greatest Laker of all time played Center as well as point guard damn magic you were special
Never fear magic is hereπ
AS A ROOKIE π€―π€―π€―
Alright Earwin
He was Magic and no one could stop him to MJ the new sheriff
He played 3 positions in that series Google it kid's
Considering that was 1980, I STILL donβt think we look at that like we should. That truly was a WATERSHED moment, cuz Kareem was MVP that season and major like Shohei Ohtani is now! We werenβt expected to win, and then MAGIC REPPEDππππΎ! Changed the course of basketball π, starting at that moment, nawmean?
Magic had a more dominant series. Magic actually averaged over 5 turnovers in that series. While Kareem averaged 33pts 13 rebs and 4.6 blks just saying π
Shidd, That team without Magic wouldβve lost ππ playing center and handling the ball.. only the special ones can do that
My favorite player of all time π―
For all of his cheerfulness, Magic is just as competitive as Michael.
Believe it or not this is a true story!!!, and I am a sixers fan, i was a kid when that happened, we got our revenge when Moses came thoπ
Word
That's insane wow
And that's why they called him "Magic!"
Magic Johnson's the greatest point guard ever NBA history
Leadership at its finest.
Could Steph do that?!
Could Isaiah do that?!
Could Penny do that?!
Could Stockton do that?!
Could Kyrie do that?!
That is why Magic Johnson is the best PG ever.
Magic > Steph
Magic and Bird only players to be able to play all positions
Magic is the only guy I've see have success at all 5 positions.
What's thr name of this song?
You know back then everyones competetive.dont know what happen todays bsketball.
GOAT of his position
His rookie year alone is why I say Steph Curry wonβt ever be looked at as better than Steph in my eyes. Magic played all five positions, and heβs being disrespected today like crazy. Him and LeBron are a mirror image of each other.
All this to be worse than curry lmao π
EJ32 Magic
Smile while I'm busting your a**!
