I think NBA fans really fail to acknowledge how incredible Steph’s story has been. Not to forget the family’s role in his journey – this kind of stories are once in a lifetime

On the flip side, if you needed someone willing to throw hands and have your son’s back, few can claim they have the same kind of resume as SJax.

Oh? She was concerned joining a team that was mostly a disaster for 30 years led by the worst owner in sports?

Nobody who knew anything about the NBA wanted to come to Golden State back then. Forever a team with no direction, always at the bottom of the standings, poor management and all the rest. The We Believe team was a collection of players with bad reps who needed a place to revitalize their careers while collecting a check. It’s not much of a stretch to think they could very well revert back to undesirable status after Steph leaves, which is something I think is lost on younger fans who weren’t around for the dark ages of the Warrior’s past.
There’s an argument that says it’s already reverted back to undesirable status, considering the two vets MDJ targeted this summer had no interest in coming here.

The league has plenty of questionable characters. They’re on every team

The story of Steph (and Klay/Dray) is so much more special because – of all the teams out there – it was the lowly Warriors.
