the GM in Portland said their goal is to win a championship in Portland. The GM said Deandre Ayton is a major piece to this process. Then we saw purple hippos flying over the Hawthorne Bridge.

I feel like…Ayton will lift the Blazers curse by becoming himself. If that is good or bad its on him.
Ayton has to be traded. The question is when…. his value is low maybe even 0 (also because of his contract). Trading him for expiring heavy contracts ( Ben Simmons for example) could make sense.
Ayton played so good last 2 months of season. He is a rare talent. He is young! Keep him! Bro doesn't miss from the elbow! Seemed positive and a good teammate all season.
Anton could also wanna move for his family, he moved from phoenix to Oregon it’s a big difference in living situations
I don't know why they took him in the first place. They should have asked for picks. Ayton is taking the spot of the guy who should play which is Clingan. Portland has to aggressively trade the guys who aren't on their timeline and give the keys to the young core they have building, and tank this season so if you're lucky you get that final PF All star level guy in Cooper or Ace or someone else. Be aggressive about the tank so when you're done tanking you still have assets to go from contender to champion

Ayton is a good center! his problem is that he was drafted number 1! Plus he's now more or less the same he was in his first year …not improving is another bad signal

Ayton and simons (ant) are 2 of the worst most bloated contracts in the league. Ayton….has a hideous tattoo that spells out "DominAyton"….yes Im not making that up. To follow that up he believes he has nothing to prove anymore (his words). He constantly makes up excuses as crazy and bananas as they come "couldnt plan ahead to get out of the snow"…. "couldnt afford a mattress" etc. Combine that with his PUTRID screen setting, avoidance of physical contact down low, no free throws (getting the opposition in foul trouble), non existent 3 pt shots and his lack of drive make him a 10-15m player……..not 45. The league knows this. The Blazer fans are a bit on the tism scale and can't figure it out.

Ayton should be gone by deadline or next offseason. He is not ever going to be a defender that matters in winning playoff games.

The man told you straight up: "Success for me is getting my extension"…and he got it. Not everyone plays because they love it, some see it like a well paying job that they don't see themselves doing too long. He's not "that guy", shouldn't even flirt with giving him those expectations.
Trade him tomorrow. He doesn't love ball and will be a blackhole for the franchise indefinitely.
