I understand that Thomas feels slighted, but I feel that even as fans we knew there was risk to him continuing to play. I was also of the understanding that he chose to play and also that this was a degenerative type of thing. Like, if it didn’t happen that postseason, then it was going to happen soon.
Unfortunately, very small guys like Thomas often have a short shelf life in the NBA. He had a reasonably decent year the next year, as well as in WAS at age 30, although nothing like what he was with the Cs. It sure was a fun couple of years watching him at his peak.

It’s old news atp but still sad to see it go down that way. I still don’t blame the team for trying to get the most out of their best player during that run, just as I don’t blame IT for trying to go as far as he possibly can. Not sure if people remember that Celtics team matched up reeeeally well against the Warriors, I don’t think they win still but they maybe could’ve given the league a better Finals series than the Cavs did that year

He’s told so many different variations of this story the truth has been lost

If he were saying this about any other team everyone would take the players side. He’s right. It just sucks to hear. They shouldn’t have let him play through an injury like this.

Wtf is that website?

Just give him the final spot on this year’s roster, please. He’s gonna have to get a different # tho – IT14?

In the interview I listened to he said he got cortisone shots 3 times total, 1 each round, not 3 times per round.

I’m sure the celtics weren’t forthright but I know exactly what I’m doing going to the gym when my shoulder isn’t 100% for example

His injury happened two months prior to ultimately becoming an issue for him. I am not blaming him, but he would have been wise to get a second opinion given he was in a contract year.

Yet he is spent all of his time since trying to get back on this team that wronged him

I mean, don’t a lot of teams do this with their star players? Why is this the only time I ever see it highlighted

I actually have the exact same injury he had right now, hip impingement with labrum tear. It’s a bitch, you basically only have one good leg and then eventually that one starts to hurt because you overcompensate with it
Actually have surgery scheduled for Friday on it, not the same one he had though

I am so fucking sick and tired of listening to this motherfucker cry. He had one good season. He should just be grateful he had it because if not no one would even know who he is. Such a fucking baby
