the mvp race is tight and only looking more and more like a tough hurdle with the insane talent growing around the league, Tyrese likely needs to replicate everything he did last year while increasing his ppg to roughly 25ppg and showing *some* defensive improvement (flirting with ~3 stocks per game would be great)
i believe he can achieve this as he only gets better and better, plus our team around him is primed to be a great supporting cast.
winning mvp also requires a decent amount of luck no one has any control over

I think people have forgot just how dominant he was prior to the injury in Boston. He was basically passing like Magic Johnson while shooting like Steph Curry. He was leading the league by a wide margin in points created (points + assists). He was a bonafide top 5 MVP candidate.
Will he get back to that level?
Yes, yes he will.

I seriously doubt he will ever win the mvp, lets focus on winning a couple games in the ecf first

i think there’s too much young talent for him to have a chance. luka, wemby, shai, ant are all gonna be vying for the mvp in the same years he is and it’s hard to see him ever coming out in top. also cp3 was similar to him in playstyle but better and he never won mvp. just something to think about
