  1. You cant tell me he wouldnt be even better than he is now if he had stayed lean like during his rookie and 2nd season, such a fucking shame man.

  2. Packogdoches

He’s already arguably the best player in the world and yet people do this every offseason who cares anymore

  3. Ghanburighan

The Luka weightwarcher squad embarrasses itself again. Must be September soon…

  4. Briancisgo

He got his team to the NBA Finals this year.

Seems like it’s going pretty great! Glad you checked in on him

  5. OrangeWanderer

I genuinely wonder if he doesn’t dunk to prevent any chance of injury?

Never thought about it until now but there are tons of players who have come down awkwardly and injured something. Maybe he’s next level genius and realized it’s not worth his health and the success of the team? Plus it’s not really his game to be an athletic dunker, we have plenty of those already.

I don’t know if I’m talking out my ass but I’m just trying to put a positive spin on this post.

    In Luka I trust.

  6. SnooHesitations1697

What happened to him? He became better and arguably the best player in the league. Delete this post or change the title bro

  7. Baluba95

C’mon man. He was arguably in his best shape in year 2, running around defenders left and right, cooking defenses without the reliable step back three or midrange or post-up. You know how many dunks he had? 14. In 22-23, when he was in his worst shape? 12. Very bad metric to define his athletic ability or form.

  8. beatnickk

He’s one of if the not the best player in the world and doesn’t look like a teenager anymore. Who fucking cares lol clown shit

  9. bartolomeudebraganca

Coming of a finals appearance, let’s talk shit about Luka. What does this bum even do??

  10. He expanded his repertoire and doesn’t have to do that anymore? It takes a shit load more energy than just a simple layup and his minutes went up considerably from his first season… Not to mention there’s higher chance of injury and he’s getting beat left and right all the time.

He can still dunk when he wants to, but he doesn’t want to…

  11. Well, he’s gradually improved each year and is either the best or top-3 player in the league that led his team to the finals this year

  12. FranklinReynoldsEGG

Ppl r gonna hate this post but deadass if luka started yamming ppl at the rim more like he did against jrue holiday a few years ago even MORE casual viewers would be putting this guy over jokic and Giannis lol.

I mean just look at Franz, ppl were clowning his extension then he dunked over 4 guys in the Olympics and now he’s a super athletic steal of a player who just needs a jumper lol

  13. duckmadfish

Slow paced Luka is waaaaay better than this athletic Luka

This Luka reminds me of Westbrook that over the years when the athleticism disappears, they are no longer a scoring machine and turn into a 6th man

I’d take BBIQ and playmaking over cool dunks

  14. Mibrealest

Grown man obsessed with another man’s weight

  15. Quiz0tix

You mean the thinner but worse version of Luka?

I think Luka needs to get much more conditioned and convert his weight into muscle versus fat, but people wanting him to get ” thin ” are embarrassing idiots.

  16. Relative-Fix-7006

No one shits on Luka more than r/nba. Though Mavs fans are a close second. Can’t think of another fanbase who critiques and trashes their own superstar like Mavs fans do Luka.

  17. GrilledCheeser

Dunking is exciting but hard on the knees. Ask d rose. I’d rather him layup the ball.

  18. Independent_Baker969

teenager body grow up and became a adult

  19. peacekenneth

Well, I don’t think Luka was or is comfortable running to the rim. It’s not really his type of game. I think Luka CAN run to the rim, but I think he prefers more difficult shots. PLUS, he can take advantage of his shooting skills more with how the team is built today vs how it was 2018-2022

  20. MeteorPunch

He was too powerful. If he had that athleticism with his current skillset, it would’ve been too easy.

  21. YoStepWithLuka77

You’re embarrassing dude and this is the content that makes this sub unbearable. You should be banned dude

  22. EmrysMyrdin

He extremely widened his skillset. He learned to play with bigger weight and is currently the best offensive player in the league.

I am however very curious how Luka would look like now, with his current skillset if he lost weight. I am certain he would be absolutely unstoppable. All his skills would remain and he would have additional speed to work with. I think he could be offensive goat.

  23. rcoffers

Man gained a love for beer and still dropped 34/9/9 and led his team to the nba finals

  24. StefonDiggsHS

He’s 1000x better now than he was then stfu
