  1. So the definition of a “skilled” player according to these kids are players that can shoot threes smh

  2. I agree with kg, just look at this last season. Before allstar break players get calls by contact. After allstar break and teams crumbled bc they weren’t getting weak calls. Players made themselves stars back then while the league manufacturers stars now.

  3. Acting like either era couldn’t adjust is crazy, but as far as “skill set” it’s definitely better all around today, no way you can argue that.

  4. Respect the people who came before you, if it wasn't for them you wouldn't be who you are today, kid needs to learn respect and humility

  5. It’s a generational thing, kids today don’t put a premium on giving respect like past generations before them. Guys in the 2000’s would go out of their way to give flowers. They just cry when someone dies and forgets about it 2 minutes later after scrolling thru TiKTok

  6. Jordan should take offense to that statement as well even though it may sound like a compliment because now you're saying is MJ didn't beat anybody

  7. Personally I think they need to bring some of the physicality back because the back and forth no real defense fouls every 2 seconds is boring!

  8. Can you imagine hooping 30 yrs ago and dealing with what they had to deal with on the court ( how physical it was ) , and subsequently building the NBA to an amazing company – and then have a little twerp ( not to mention not very intelligent or grateful ) like Ant talk about his predecessors like this ? This idiot ( Ant , what a stupid nickname ) makes millions of dollars playing basketball in a league built by the very players he insults. God what an ungrateful little man. How old is this guy ? 22, 23. Lots to learn young man.

  9. lol SAS politely clapped right back at Windhorse. SAS let dude know you don’t have the right to criticize KG for criticizing Edwards. SAS is saying just because you are upset that an OG like KG is checking the Michael Finley 2.0 doesn’t give your fat you know what to say anything disparaging about OG Garnett?

  10. Windy's take perfectly sums it up. Players will evolve and play within the rules they are given.

  11. This is what happens when the old schoolers keep on shitting and saying that the new school is soft, weak and what ever else they want to say, just so their generation looks better than the new ones🤷 Its a cycle and it looks ridiculous. Do not act like you don't know anything about it. 0:37 you know why it's not that physical? The league did and it's all because of the shenanigans that you old dudes did🤷 Why punish them for this when you're the ones responsible for it? Then you hve the audacity to belittle the new school for adapting and playing on this new set of rules? How shameless of you guys?🙌🤣

  12. Today's nba generation can't even play a entertaining Allstar and they said they are more skilled?

  13. Imagine Patrick Mahomes or Lamar Jackson or Josh Allen saying no QB back in the day had any skill except Dan Marino😭 If Edwards had any amount of wisdom, he would be reaching out and picking the brain of these past greats and champions, like Kobe did, instead of discrediting what they did in and for the game.

  14. All time greats could play amd be great in any era. Wilt, MJ, Bird, Magic, Kobe, Shaq, Lebron, KD , etc would be great in any era. Not many dudes would be great in all eras

  15. Oh, and this is not take away from what Michael Jordan did so when you actually dive in deeper and I want you to put dearon fox Jamal Murray demar derozan prime games harden I want you to put Michael Jordan and the players I just named side-by-side. I want you to legitimately look at how Michael Jordan being defended and then look at how they're being defended. I want you to look at how they're creating space between themselves under defender where out Michael Jordan did three because a lot of those guys are outstanding mid range shooters in their clutch shooters at that. If you think none of the names that I just said could do some of the things that Michael Jordan did which I want people to really go look Michael Jordan did not have an outstanding best handles in order to create separation. in the times, he did use his handles to create separation. It wasn't too advanced to wear. You could say you know what there's no one else in it. They couldn't do the same exact thing.

  16. This debate is so sickening and stupid. Their greatness is who they are, their skill is only based on their era. Meaning if they were born today, they would be great at this era of basketball. Everyone plays the way that generation of the sport is. Mentality is really the only thing to question, but I think that may change depending on the era you’re born in also. We are all mostly products of our environment.
