Philadelphia 76ers weighing all options as proposed Center City arena awaits approval

The New Jersey Economic Development Authority sent a letter on Monday to Harris Blitzer Sports Entertainment, the company that owns the Sixers, affirming that the agency, Gov. Phil Murphy and other Garden State leaders are “committed to bringing the 76ers to Camden.”

The 76ers said they “must take all potential options seriously” as their proposed arena on Market Street in Philadelphia awaits approval.

  1. Not gonna lie, they should move to North Philly! Build a stadium on the site of the failing Philadelphia Mills Mall (Franklin Mills)! The mall is literally empty! The land is there, the parking lots are there, and the local infrastructure can handle the traffic.

  2. An arena in Center City is asinine. Hey, New Jersey. If you can afford tax breaks to the 76er's, you can afford the 50% tax break for senior citizens NOW.
