Podcast era really has rookies and end of bench players talking crazy
Lively played great against the Wolves. Very good player. Still feels weird to have a guy coming off his rookie season feeling comfortable enough to talk this way about a future hall of famer who just won his 4th DPOY award.
Is he trying to get less money? Someone like Lively is awesome until you need to pay them

Rudy Gobert checks all the boxes that other NBA players hate: he’s a big, he’s foreign, he receives awards/accolades, he’s annoying, he plays great defense, and most importantly he has no bag. NBA players respect other players who can score and who have style/skill. Creative guards like Kyrie get more love than limited bigs like Rudy who don’t have any moves and just dunk. Also there are no players who are gonna give a defender like Rudy credit, they just look at him as a tall guy taking advantage of his height.
Always be rooting for Lively but god you better have a breakout sophomore season (or exceed expectations for your career) for talking like that
Gobert gets so much hate it’s crazy. He’s very one dimensional but he’s a generational defender whether you like him or not. His impact is crazy, he was once 2nd in winshares in the whole league.

Rudy was among the absolute best players on the Wolves in that series. He’s also a massive reason they got that high of a seed in the first place.
