How Two NBA Finals Teams Flew too Close to the Sun

In the 2021 NBA Finals we saw two young teams meet in some very interesting circumstances. One side lead by a 2x MVP in Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks And the other with Devin Booker and the Phoenix Suns. After meeting in this very interesting NBA Finals, both teams wanted to go after another championship opportunity, but ever since that fateful matchup, things have only fallen apart on both sides. Whether it’s the Bucks who would see very vital injuries happen to Giannis, bad coaching, and a very interesting Damian Lillard trade that didn’t work out like they expected. Or the Suns who’d make very widely criticized moves like acquiring Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal. This is the story, of how Two NBA Finals Teams Flew too Close to the Sun

  1. I really don't want the narrative around Chris Paul to be so brutal after that 2022 Dallas series. He was 37 and got completely burnt out and yes possibly injured by the time game 3 of the Dallas series came around. Don't forget that he scored 33 points on 14-14 perfect shooting from the field (all jump shots with a nigga's hand in his face), made all 4 free throws, got 5 rebounds and 8 assists in Game 6 of the Pelicans series to close them out. Booker was injured for nearly that entire series and no one else was stepping up. Just saying it would have been nice to have that in the video before you started trashing on him with the memes.

  2. 30:18 thank the fucking Gods this didn’t lead to a Pacers tenure for him…can’t imagine what my guys would’ve looking like now, with him in tow (even if it means that we still have no proven 2nd option if Turner goes down for any reason)

  3. Would love to see a timeline of how the Raptors went from Champions to now, really felt like they could've at least gone back to back if Kawhi stayed

  4. 28:28 Giannis also had a bad game because he was gassed in game 7 after a shorter offseason and finals run. With hind sight and actual context this was no near as bad as you presented it. Also Middleton crucial to their offense without his production they went 7 that team deserves respect.

  5. Mat Ishbia has the most extreme case of NOS (New Owner Syndrome) I've seen in my limited time following basketball. He comes in, and two days later trades for KD. The following offseason, he trades everything else they have in terms of picks for Bradley Beal. NOS can destroy franchises and it's done that with the Suns.

  6. Embarrassed my Bucks team "won" a chip,we got away with so many Giannis offensive fouls and these days it proves it since they stopped giving him those calls.
