More Rumours than actual facts with the Raptors. They seem to be in every NBA trade rumour. This is kind of getting old.

I would definitely make the trade. We are the team that gambled on Leonard in a wheelchair and won. so why not take a gamble on Lavine and try to get lucky again

trade:
Jakob, Boucher, Brown and Abagi to the Bulls for LaVine and Vucevic. Chicago would have to throw in a first or two to entice Raptors to take
Chicago could trade Jakob or Brown to contender near deadline for assets, and Chicago gets 2 expiring contracts in Brown and Boucher regardless.
Toronto gets a bruiser at C for next 3 years with Kelly as backup and C position being priority this upcoming draft.

We have a starting PG, and a SF, so Zach would play SG. But with a 34% 3 shot ability, SG might not be his best of the 3 positions he plays. 45% on corners, means he would to live there to be effective, gets easy to defend. He would add a ball handler, but to what harm it may cause, is Quickly just effective as an off the ball player? Is Zach effective as a off the ball player? Zach needed to average 35 minutes a night to get his numbers, with a plethora of shots, are there shots and minutes available to feed him o be the scorer we need? But the biggest most glaring problem – 43 mill owed! You can give BB and Boucher in a trade, and still need to find 10 more million. That's 3 potential players for LaVine – is he worth it? No.
We STILL have Brown?! Good grief. He is atrocious.
He is so over payed levine is and would affect the team total payroll. Better to go after Andrew Wiggins who would cost less per year.
How much a year ? $43 m this year and $45-$48m in the next two years ? That's allot of cannoli. Jeeeesh.

from a salary perspective i get it ( moving undesirable players), does he still hit the three ball and play defence like he used too ? this would also clear up roster room. im split on this one.

The Raps find themselves In a position that is self inflicted and not a top 5 team in the east. Knowing this why would we sacrifice a potential top 5 pick this Summer. We need to relax and give these young players time to develop in this season. Older players like OLYNIKC we need to trade b4 he has no trade value. Bruce brown is a good player we can turn into at least 2 early seconds at worst. JOKOB you have a honest conversation with him about this year being a wash.. If he wants to be here then we keep him.. Zack Lavigne will be available next season also. No need to rush. We can be a playoff team come the 2025/26 season it will be worth ten sacrifice God willing

This all depends what we have to give up but a starting line up with potential 4 players averaging over 20 would be ridiculous. You can't tell me their not a contender at that point so why not. Its not your money and we're not getting Giannis type player from UFA or trade wise. Teams don't give them up. Rap fans need to get real. Players like that are rare. Next best thing are players like Lavine.

With all the shooting that Denver lost with KCP and Reggie Jackson gone that will be perfect for him or Golden State as Klay replacement peice but his contract to his production ratio(injuries) has teams scratching their heads and his age is a big factor as well.
No F’ing way on Zach L’s $$$. IF Bulls want to “blow it up” Zach L and Nikola V then I would look to help them jump start rebuild with salary flexibility and Picks.
Bruce B + Chris B + 2026 Indy First pick + 2027 Raps second = Patrick Williams + Jalen Smith on Oct 7 when both can be traded. We take on long salaries but with BBQ timeline.
Why Bulls get off long money and go full into tank next two years.
Raps get forward depth and maybe small ball C to help. Work to have PW buy in to Def key Forward where he guards best 2-4 so Scottie and RJ can focus a little more on Off and team D. Jalen S is a younger version of CB with a little more bulk and can handle Cs better. Their contracts fit us and are tradable. If the team focuses more on both sides of the ball I think they can get top 8 and start to build.

Massai wants to see a full season to develop and assess the young core. The only thing they should try is trading up in draft. Lavine is an upgrade but that contract stunts raptors ability to pursue solid role players.
If this were to ever happen, Raptors fans alike should be furious. I'm furious just seeing that we are actually thrown into this rumour. Zach Lavine is worth his contract, would disrupt the entire direction off this team, and players like RJ, Gradey and Walter would be set back extremely. What's funny about this rumour is that NBA fans that do not like the raptors would probably love to see this trade happen.
Stupid trade. This would hurt the development of our team. Maybe if we put him on the bench playing small forward or backup PG… but not in the starting lineup. And definitely not if he'd be taking Gradey's minutes. Contract sucks anyway, so that alone is a hard pass.
Anyone thinking we should get LaVine should give their head a shake. If they think he's going to magically be the piece that turns this roster into a contender, they need to ask themselves how over the past 7 years, he's been on the Bulls, and they haven't done shit.
