Kuzma was on the way out after that last season. Pelinka fasho panicked and fatfingered the Westbrook trade though

Could have sworn he tried to claim he asked to be traded

Losing KCP hurt more than losing Kuz

Should’ve waited for Kuz to develop that third brain cell
ktran2804
Kuz got basically a max deal and is the main option on a horrible team. After watching some Wizards games last year on league pass I don’t really think Kuz has improved his game at all. I don’t think he would necessarily help this squad unless he became way way better on defense.

No defense slightly above average offensive fuckbois are not that valuable if you are trying to win a championship.
Others have said it but KCP, Caruso and Dwight were actual net losses. Especially Dwight against the Nuggets…

Definitely agree on giving up too early on the 2020 squad.

Rob trying to change the culture from a revolving door to just a door and I think he lost the key this off season

Yeah he panicked because he should waited and traded Kuz for Kyrie instead of Russ.

The Lakers weren’t wrong to trade him, they just traded him for the wrong guy. His contract is awful
Granpa2021
Regardless of whether he wanted to be traded or not, that was one of the worst trades in NBA history
Confident_Comedian82
in All Fairness, Its better to have Kuz than Westbrook Hahahaha Younger and good role player, can add some more spacing and much more better rotational player. His Effort in rebounding and hustle is much more better than Rui

Trading him wasn’t a mistake. Who we traded him for was the mistake lol

Y’all don’t understand shit organizations ruin careers. Kuzma’s development was going alright but his role was so wishy washy on our team. We wanted a scorer to become a true role player and it just didn’t suit him. I think if we had stuck it out with him we would’ve been just fine
incredibleamadeuscho
It’s shit on Rob Pelinka season.
I would have given up on you too Kuz.

The thought about keeping the squad mostly intact and adding derozan is crazy.

The idea that the lakers panicked as an org back then I certainly agree with
I’m just tired of the storyline as it’s been 4 years now. Moving on should have happened a couple years ago 🤷

I know I’m probably in the minority but Kuz is still the same dude. He’s putting up empty stats on a bad team, if you put him on a contender he would just revert back to the streaky roleplayer he was with us.

Seems like Pelinka is running out of friends. His time is ticking.
