Wiggins. Was saving this category just for him.

Edit: shit actually so obviously Wiggins

I would say Olowokandi but he wasn’t with us for long enough.

I nominate the GM who had three opportunities to pick Steph Curry and didn’t

Who is pictured as the worst player? Don’t recognize him.

Wiggins. Was supposed to be what Ant has become

This is a bit of a reach, but the Wolves drafted Brandon Roy and he also suited up for us (years later for only 5 games).

It might be due to injury, but there was a lot of potential in him that was never realized.

Wiggins is a decent player, but he’s a great candidate for this with the Maple Jordan anointing still.

    JR Rider a good candidate

Starburry – wasted the greatness of that duo

  8. Wiggins, marbury, Derrick Williams, Wes Johnson, Culver, Flynn, Bazz

Wiggins seems right but I think Alexey Shved deserves a shoutout here too

    Pooh?

Philly legend. 3 time 1st team all pac 10 and named the Bruins best defender. He was getting it done on both sides of the floor. He came out and was a good scorer and really positive passer as a young player, a steady hand on a very shaky team. Averaged 8 assists and a tick under 2 turnovers a game his first two years while being a higher usage guy. That was insane. I mean Rubio was looking pretty decent there and lower usage as a scorer early on and was 2.5 assists per turnover.

Basically 17-9 with low turnovers and solid D the 2nd half of his rookie season when he got into the starting lineup and through his 2nd season. That’s CP3 numbers there with a much lower turnover rate as a starter his first two years. By the end of his 2nd year, Tim Hardaway was probably the only person anyone would have over Pooh from that class. Not Divac or Cliff Robinson or Kemp or Glenn Rice or Mookie or Sean Elliott…

I get Wiggins, and he’s probably the winner here, but Pook really showed off that potential early on at the NBA level too. But Pooh at least for me, I thought early on he was going to be a stud based on his NBA play and how quickly he was adapting in arguably the toughest position for a young player to learn on a cheap/bad team.

Then of course his wanting to get off expansion teams, and back to LA possibly. Then the shoulder injury and issues with Indy management on that…

A lot of people saying Andrew Wiggins, but he wasn’t a bum by any stretch of the imagination. Frustrating? Sure. WASTED potential? Idk about that. He ended up averaging 23ppg in just his 3rd year in the league. That’s really damn good, albeit his tenure is disappointing for a #1 pick, he’s not even close to most WASTED potential.

Derrick Williams is someone who comes to mind as a true wasted potential pick.

6’8 freak athlete who could dribble, had a decent looking stroke, monster college career, #2 overall pick behind Kyrie Irving. Should have been a switchable forward that can guard 3s and 4s and been a menace on the glass. Ended up a starter only one year (2nd year) in the league, never averaged more than 24mpg, averaged 9/4/0.7 for his career before washing out and heading to Europe.

Had a sick windmill dunk package though

  12. Wiggins is the easy answer, but Micheal Beasley is up there. Man was a walking bucket and seemed like a surefire all star.
