You know if Booths insane plan to focus on our young guys actually pays off…i still wouldnt wanna give him credit for such a risky plan.
But i will then achknowledge that it wasnt a half bad choice and respect his talent recognition abilities.

I totally get why Booth is doing what he’s doing (with the rookies… I’m still convinced not going into the second apron to pay KCP was a Kroenke mandate and no one will be able to convince me otherwise)
I was wrong about him not being able to execute his off season plan this summer (he got every FA he wanted and re-signed Jamal)
I get it.
But I also think you gotta strike while the iron’s hot and it’s been proven time and time again that you just flat out need a veteran laden roster to win a title. We had ONE player with less than four years experience play real minutes during our title run. We’re relying on three of those dudes this year including one sophomore and one might-as-well-be a sophomore player.
If Booth’s plan works the Nuggets will probably win multiple titles. If it doesn’t Jokic will probably retire with one title.

Booth has signed Jokic, Murray, MPJ, and Gordon for a championship window. Gordon will probably opt out next year, so we will see if we can resign him. Bruce Brown really couldn’t be signed last year, so I don’t fault Booth for that one. The Nnaji extension was idiotic. Really no way around that. Signing KCP would have required us to dip into the second apron. I’m not sure that KCP’s production above Braun and Watson’s was worth going into the second apron, but KCP was a perfect fit on our team. The Saric and Westbrook signings were both solid moves, knowing Westbrook will be coming in off the bench. So really, the issue is going to be Gordon, since he is a key part of extending our championship window. That and the health of Murray and MPJ.

I think we have 2-3 more championship window years.
I’d sacrifice every pick for the next five years to increase our chances of winning now with the greatest nugget of all time.
Personally, would love some SG depth and better rebounding role players off the bench rather then trying to strike it lucky with draft picks. Impossible now, but if we somehow added Bogdan and Bruce, I’d feel confident on our chances.
