  1. I'm biased because I grew up with Rik Smits. Offensively He's one of the most underrated Centers ever in the NBA. Five eastern conference finals appearances. I've seen Him TORCH Ewing too many times to count. Hit A Game winner against Orlando game 4 in the playoffs in 1994.

Hibbert was sensational that first Eastern conference finals appearance against Miami.

Myles has redeemed himself in My eyes. I thought he brought it the entire playoffs this past season. He most definitely stepped up.

Sabonis was a Monster when he was A Pacer.

James Edward's was a VERY good player. He was smooth as silk. He had great seasons with the Pistons too.

I legit forgot about Brad Miller playing with Jermaine O Neal. I remember the trade but for whatever reason I forgot all about that.

  2. I just fact checked index I knew I wasn't completely out My mind.

Jermaine O'Neal started the 2004-2005 season as the 5. I kind of forgot Reggie was injured to begin the season and Austin Croshere started at the 4 though Artest would guard opposing teams 4s too.

I would have definitely lost that trivia question if someone asked me the starting 5 at the malice In the Palace. I forgot Croshere started and played 35 minutes that game. O'Neal started at the 5.

Statistically that 2004-2005 season looked great on paper for O'Neal. Not sure what your using as qualifying criteria.

Foster started at the 5 and played all those games because 3 starters were suspended for multiple games. Artest for the entire season.

In my head I remember O'Neal starting at the 5. If not for the suspensions and injuries he most likely would have started at the 5 every game all season. Pacers needed bodies that year.

  3. I own a pair of socks with the Dunking Dutchman’s face on them. Need I say more? Rik was as essential to the Pacers as Reggie Miller. Those alive and watching that era know it’s true. 🎉

Also honorary mention just because – I was in kindergarten and grade school going to Market Square and watching Steve Stipanovich play center. He was the most ungraceful but decent player on the team at times. Just a shout out to those that recall and stomping style of STEPO! 😊

  4. Smits is the best player of the NBA era, but the GOAT to me is the fiesty one Jeff Foster. Not a scorer, but defense, rebounding, and longevity. And the Sky Hook of defense: the signature Foster Hand Chop
