I like the idea of the court looking different than regular courts in order to remind viewers that they’re watching a play-in tournament game. But they are ugly as hell. NBA, do this black and gold for every play in tournament game. I used use ChatGPT to sketch the idea.

Basketball is one of the few sports that does mess around with varied courts without a ton of graphics overlays.
I appreciate you using tools to try to design something but the question remains what does that represent? NBA is huge on things being representative of history and this kind of misses that mark as a special court.
I’d give you more credit if it was not AI generated and you did the work yourself but a black court would look terrible on TV and live.
It looks like each half of the court are different sizes which could be a really interesting twist
