Denver screwed themselves when they decide to "win now". They lost leverage and everyone knows. The max extension of JM is the latest. I have zero expectation of them winning this upcoming season with the current roster. The current players need to step up. I won't be surprise if coach Malone is let go mid season as a panic.

It's all overblown BS. Yep, Malone would love to have proven assets – and doesn't like/trust the rookie (mid or below-mid talent) potential.
BUT
Malone is just fine – and he'll toe the line, creating fake friction along the way (just to create distance, as it'll be him or booth in a year). Too much money. WAAAAY too much money. He just bought a $7M house in Denver… yep. Meghan Markle is jealous.
So – Nope – this is regular Nuggets schtick – just like with KCP (leaking that they're matching, and got caught in a lie)… Just political BS – on ALL SIDES – Kroenke/Booth/FO/Malone… All BS.
Malone, by now – and based on last season, "current" murray, and the off-season "moves" that Nuggets made – Malone KNOWS that this is a bust. He knows it. And he'll "take care of #1".
Jokic, AG and MPJ are F*D.
Luckily – Jamal Murray is a mega-millionaire. That's a saving grace.
