Isiah: Michael Jordan Didn’t Dominate UNTIL the 1990s | @NBAonTNT #shorts

Isiah Thomas on the Open Court show talks about Michael Jordan and what it was like playing him when he was coming out of college. This conversation transitioned into him getting instigated by GOAT instigators Reggie Miller and Shaq and Isiah, while giving MJ his flowers about his dominance in the 1990s, casually reminds people that although Michael Jordan put up amazing statistics in the 1980s, he was still losing in the playoffs. First round losses to the Bucks and Celtics from 1985-1987, second round loses to the Pistons in 1988 and conference finals losses to the Pistons in 1989 and 19990s. From 1991 onwards though, The Black Cat cemented his legacy two two three-peats and completely dominated the league.

  1. Straight Facts. The funny part is y'all fanboys get upset because Isiah points out facts on Mike losing before he finally became a champion in 91.

  2. He took your city away from you Isiah and he has a big ass statute on your side of town that you couldn't do a damn thing to stop it from happening. I remember it took you 8 years to get your first nba championship. I also remember you not making it to the platoffs in your first rwo seasons. I don't remember you and the pistons dominating the 80s as well. Because your team won in 89 and 90. So what happened to the pistons in 83, 84,85, 86,87,88,. The same as Jordan no rings and sent home. So how can you talk about the 80s except 89.

  3. Funny that Zeke didn’t mention that MJ played with a bunch of powder sniffers when they were getting eliminated like that. He also failed to mention that his own team couldn’t even shake hands with MJ after he PISSEDON them while vanquishing them. I’m sure MJ still laughs about Zeke being left off of the Dream Team. The GOAT definitely got the last laugh and 6 rings. He’s above entertaining such foolishness. I’m not.

  4. Isiah had better teammates, 2 other all stars and defensive juggernauts.. MJ just needed one match to start the fire

  5. Zeke is such a hater and he wonders why he wasn't on the dream team. The Bulls were full of old coke beads and the only had Oakley and Jordan. Jordan was dominant in the 80s too but nobody can do it themselves.

  6. Dude talks as if he's in the goat debate. You're not even in the same book, let alone sentence.

  7. Even Byrd called MJ a god back in the 80s… Isiah’s just sore he got swept in 91 and didn’t make the Dream Team… it wasn’t just Jordan, like more than half the team didn’t want Isiah on it. Thomas was a generational talent… but he is biased AF.

  8. Bet Isaiah Thomas would get destroyed one on one with Jordan during both of their primes, it took his team damn near putting Jordan into a coma to beat him the two years they won the Championship. Jordan said f* off, started heavy lifting, and swept them. The pistons never recovered from it 😂

  9. It’s true Jordan didn’t dominate the league at first.. But after a few defeats he got physical stronger..and became Jesus..

  10. He was the best player too, just so it happens that basketball is a "team" sport and you wont get far without a great team.
